Weird question, but when did you do most of the house hunting?

Weird question, but when did you do most of the house hunting?

Was it over the weekends? Or weekday nights? Both Saturday and Sundays?

I know this sounds weird, but I was trying to decide whether it would be worth it to spend weekends in the Hamptons this summer if we are looking for a coop (plan to start next month, but figuring on not finding anything by summer). Just wondering what everyone did... I'm guessing weekends, though.

we have been doing mostly weekdays...at lunch and after work...

Weekends - but I never really worked with one broker. I found my house by going to open houses. DH and I both tend to work late - so evenings weren't really options.

We're looking on Sundays. It's the only day my DH and I have off together.

Weekends for me...occasionally after work. But I was living in Queens and I was looking in NJ...so unless I could see something right after work, it was on Saturday or Sunday.

Same here. We plotted our open house on Saturday and Sunday we were off and running.

We did either Saturday or Sundays. Especially since there are a lot of open houses on Sunday.

Mostly on Sundays, lots of open houses on sundays. Also Mondays because that is my one day off during the week.

We searched any day we could. If memory serves me correctly we found our place on a sat though.

We bought a condo about a year and a half ago

We did mostly weekends. But we found the house we loved on a Wednesday afternoon! I think we ended up going more on weekends because that is when most homeowners were available to show their homes. We could have also gone after work - but I really did not want to see homes in the dark.
