here's my paranoia speaking...

what if she is just a little serious...(from what i gather at least a little part of her is according to the e-mail she sent your mom)...and what if she's really hurt..and you don't tell FH about the e-mail to your mom and he keeps thinking it's a big joke..and his mom asks again..and as a joke he goes along with it (because he thinks she's joking)..and he says 'ok'...and she believes him...and she books her tickets!!!!

I ended up telling FH, he still believes his mom was joking, but agrees there may have been a slight seriousness to her tone... BUT he says if she was completely serious this by far would be the weirdest thing she has ever done.... He seemed a little disturbed about it, mostly because he said he thought she was joking when she asked him, so he basically laughed in her face....
He says lets play it as a joke, and if she brings it up again with any other tone, he will talk to her about why this topic isn't even 'cool'... I think it will be ok.... Maybe it was just one big joke, but no one took it that way from the tone????....

I think that FH is right and you should handle it the way he suggested so if she WAS joking no one's feelings are hurt and if she WASN'T then he can take care of it when it comes up

JUST TO MAKE SURE I would ask her to do something while you are away like 'oh you can feed my pet parakeet while we are on our HM' and see what she says. . . but that is bc i am psychotic.

i can kind of see someone thinking 'oh i can come on the HM its not like we are staying in the same room or anything' and by someone - i mean a crazy someone LOL good luck!
