I just wanted to post a few little things about some of my coworkers. They are so, so odd and sometimes I feel like i am in the twilight zone here.
I work at a TV station so maybe its expected.
But...we have one guy (27 years old) who dressed up as the easter bunny last week, hopped around and gave out eggs to everyone (the plastic ones) and inside was like a toy dreidle or an eye patch (random and weird). Afterwards he sent an email asking for the shells back so he can save them for next year!!??
THEN. My other coworker is someone i've referred to in the past as a food snatcher. But she not only steals food, she just has no couth. No concept of what socially accpetable behavior is like. Its so odd. She will open my bag and dig through it, until I turn around and tell her to stop. She will say she needs my door key. WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING MY THINGS??? I just feel like screaming here.
Please tell me other people have weirdo coworkers!!! I'd love to hear the stories!
My boss just hired someone who has worked w/in our company for about 10yrs; she has relocated from FLA, back to NYC for this job. 2nd day on job, she is in my bosses office sharing w/ him that she needs to get LA*D...and she met someone at the gym who will help her get *ff...i was like, OMG, this woman is a bit TMI on her 2nd day w/ her boss. I went in to my boss the next day and complained that it was soooo unnecessary for her to share that stuff....blah blah...fast forward to this week, she has been her 9 days and has quit/gave notice...Because she made an advance towards one of the girls here and was rejected (cough/cough, this woman is AC/DC....jeez) and my boss is thinking that she is quitting so there are no complaints filed against her and she can save face by quitting. My mouth fell when my boss told me that she quit, then i was speechless when he told me the 'reason' why...because my boss FIRED someone to hire this woman and he is now kicking himself.... I told DH the story and now he calls for his daily update of happened today at Comapny xyz....

There is this one woman who does gross stuff with food.
One day there was a pizza in the lounge, she ate just the cheese off one of the slices and left it in the box, attached to the rest of the slices.
She is the type that licks her fingers then breaks off a piece of anything, cookie etc., will eat it and start over.

There is this teacher at work who has a big birthmark (like a skin colored ball) on her tongue. Everytime she talks, you can't help but stare at it. It's really gross...especially when she eats lunch with us and licks her lips afterwards.... My friend always makes fun of her by putting a little piece of popcorn on the end of her tongue...she cracks us up everytime!
Another teacher has been working in the school for a year now and everyday she says...'good morning teachers'. It drives us crazy that she doesn't know any of our names!! She also eats lunch with us and gets food all over her face. We like to call her cookie monster.

There is a guy at my job that probably doesn't shower and looks greasy. He is always in the break room eating some sort of grass-like stuff, (sprouts maybe, but it looks like grass) out of a plastic container w/ his hands! He offers me some when I see him. No thanks mister!

I used to work with a woman who was very sensitive about her work. She was one of those 'brilliant but insane' types and she would throw herself very passionately into whatever book she was editing, but when things didn't go her way, she would crumble into a heap on the floor outside her assistant's cubicle and cry 'Oh dear, why me? Why me? XXX author hates. I know it. Why me?' This was a woman in her mid 50's who was eccentric in other ways too. She wore long jumpers with lacy ankle socks and SANDALS and barrettes in her hair. She had horrible eczema too and she used to scratch her hands until they bled and then wrap them in wet paper towels.
The girl I work with always copies everything I do, for example:
1.) I bought a certain book, she ordered it from the same website, after me.
2.) My husband bought me another coach bag, so she wants to but another one too!!
3.) I have an Ipod Shuffle, she's getting that too!
I think this is a case of the movie, Single White Female!
She creeps me out!!!

These stories are HILARIOUS!!!!
We have our share at my job..
The man who eats ALL our food...We get these Chocolate Stars and a certificate for jobs well done, well as soon as he sees the boss bringing one to ya..Hes there 'umm...Gonna eat that chocolate star' ...
He has been known to drop his lunch on the floor, and bent down to scopp it back up and eat it...
We have the 'bathroom girl'..No explanation needed other then her average bathroom visit is 15-25 minutes and thats on a good day.
We have the cleaning man who emptys the garbage pails( from UNDER our desks) 3-4 times a DAY and somehow always manages to 'TOUCH' your leg while doing it ( he also has a fake couch/LV bag selling...bootleg DVD sales business on the side)
The fax clerk..who makes these noises as she clear the crap from her throat every 2-3 seconds..
