Well it happened to me too- invite related-UPDATED
We got a response today from one of FMIL's friends and they responded YES, with their daughter who was NOT invited.
I called FH and he told me that the friend called his mother and said that there is no babysitter available for daughter so if she is not invited she cant come...and FMIL (who wanted this kid invited to begin with and whom we said IS NOT invited to begin with) told her okay... WELL IT IS NOT OKAY!
Yes, we are having kids at the wedding- they are FAMILY- Ex: Fh's 9 year old brother...NOT FMIL's FRIENDS DAUGHTER! Give me a fricken break!

oh I feel ya! i sent an invite to my cousin and his wife and now they are telling my aunt that they need to find a hotel nearby so they can bring the kids there when they get sleepy!
ok...
A. I didn't invite your kids. THEY HAVE 3!!!
and
B. If they're going to be leaving early to sleep anyway, then why bring them and make me pay for 3 more bodies?!?!?!?!?
Why are people sooooooo rude!?!?!?!?!?

dont you just love that? We had about 5 people call and say how offended they were that either their children werent invited or they werent invited with a guest. i'm sorry, but i dont want ranom people at my weddin!!!!!!

Ugh people are so annoyingly rude. I hope this doesn't happen to me because it is so infuriating and I will probably want to drop kick their @sses!

It just happened to me too. I invited my cousin and his wife. I'm not too close to them and they live out of state. Well, my RSVP date was a week ago and they called up my mom to apologize that it wasn't sent out. But that they are coming to the wedding(my cousin and his wife) and that they are bringing their daughter too.
Ummmm....the invite was made out to Mr. and Mrs.xxxxx. Plus, the daughter is not like 5 and they need a babysitter she is like 25.
I just find it RUDE to take upon yourself to invite others to someone elses wedding.

I really dont get people, but in my case I blame FMIL too- why the heck did she say yes to this lady??? So every person with a kid who 'cant find a babysitter' can come??? BULL... ANd if its that hard, I know some people who would be willing to make some $$$... UHHH people are so rude!

People are so damn rude! This happened at my E-Party...we did not invite kids and some people just showed up with theirs.....and the other people wanted to know why they couldn't bring their children...it was embarrasing....

to make matters worse my mother called FMIL to tell her she needed to call friend (FMIL and Mom are pretty close- they talk and get along normally) and NOW I think they are argueing about it...basically my mom left it that she is not invited and FMIL said she is..so we are getting nowhere...thing is that she has LOTS of friends with kids what the Heck, is she telling them they can bring their kids too??? URRRRRRRR
