Went to try on my dress and was disappointed... sort of.

So I was reallllly excited that my dress came in over a month early. I was finally able to go try it on and I was ECSTATIC that it fit!!!! I actually ordered my dress one size smaller than my size back in December, so I thought I wouldn't even close b/c I really haven't lost much weight - but it was PERFECT (except in the bust - I'm small up top)!!!! And the sample was in ivory and the one I ordered is not, so it was great to see it in the right color and to touch it and try it on and basically just to know that THIS is my actual WEDDING DRESS!!!! It was a very surreal moment!!!

BUT, I was disappointed b/c of a couple of things. First off, I somehow left my camera at work by accident!!! Me, who carries my camera with me EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!! I made my BM who was with me go back to my car to check and I just couldn't believe I didn't have it. So that was

But the most disappointing this is that the earrings that I was so in love with (a few ladies on here are wearing them too) don't go with my dress!!!! All this time I've been looking and buying jewelry to go with these earrings! I think I need something a bit shorter and wider. Ugh, I was sooo upset! I actually have TWO versions of the same earrings!!! One is just over 2 inches long and the other is a bit more than 1.5 inches. Neither looked good! What the heck am I going to do with them now??? Maybe try to sell them???

So now I am officially on the hunt for day of jewelry again! The jewelry has been such a source of stress for me!!!

But still, I LOVE MY DRESS!!! I still want to lose a bit of weight and work on my arms b/c they looked way too heavy, but I know that it fits!!!

Glad you got your dress and are happy with it.

Post your jewelry pics in the yard sale. Someone may want to buy them from you.

I am glad that you still like your dress and I am sure that you look fantastic in it. I would definetly post pictures of the earrings on the yard sale and I am sure that someone would be interested in buyig them. I know that I am still looking for earrings!!

i assume you cant return the earring, were they expensive?

Nope, can't return the earrings - I bought them months ago and they only had a 30 day return for both! Yeah I'll eventually post them on here to try to sell them. Thanks!

when you go back for another fitting, make sure take the camera with you i want to see how you look in that gown. so sorry about your earrings that didnt work well with gown, hope you find one soon!!!!!

dear, about recuperating $ for the jewelery don't even give that a second thought, there are 08ers, 09ers, there will be a bazillion more brides that can buy your jewelry to perfectly match their dress

since you and your BM went to the fitting she'll be able to hunt for jewelry along with you, two heads are better than one, now hup to it!

earrings i'm sure you'll find another pair..i was just at bloomingdales in the city during lunch and they have a huge selection of earrings.. picked my self up pair #2...

Like everyone else said, I'm sure someone will be happy to take them off your hands. I'm sure it's frustrating when you thought you had earrings covered and now you have to start searching again. GL in your hunt and can't wait to see pics.

These are the longer earrings (I have a slightly shorter pair too!).

I love them but it's a no go.

I am so sorry you left your camera at home, get this at my bridal salon has signs up all over stating you cannot take any pictures of anyone or anything in the store at all, strange but true. Dont worry they will be able to do something so the top fits you perfect, I had the opposite happen to me, we had to add some tooling on to the dress so I did not feel like I was exposing my breasts too much. We cant win, right.......... You will find the earrings you really like, Its funny that you should mention those earrings, I think I purchased both of those, you said quite a few girls on here have them, they have to be the same ones I ordered the short ones I ordered first, they were too short, then the larger longer ones came and I found them to be to overpowering and chunky for me, so I sent them back. I have now ordered and sent back 8 pairs of earrings in total, still waiting for a #9 too arrive from lord & taylor, as I think they are the ones, but they are still trying to locate them, seems they may be out of stock. But I do have a back up pair just in case. The Day of Jewelery was the hardest for me along with the tiara, I got rid of that also and went another type of headpiece. So hang in there, there is light at the end of that tunnel, my wedding is only three weeks away.........plus I have the flu and have been so sick for the past four days....UGH......my day is coming quick....Good Luck with everything.
