This co-worker is getting married next week.. She said she went to Kleinfeld in Brooklyn to get her dress and they were so helpful.. she jus went there and told them what she was looking for and they brought her all these dresses in that style. SHe said she went to alot of places and they were jus trying to stick her in strapless.. SHe also said she sent 3 other girls there ,and they loved it, and got their dresses there..
Has anyone been there?
She got her dress for $1000..

I am in the SAME BOAT!!!

As for where I am, we are looking at bands.

We went to see Sound Image and Scott Yahney last week, both very good.

Last night we went to see Times Square Orchestra, at the moment our front runner as thet were also very good but will give us more for our money than Sound Image (the cheaper out of SI and Scott Yahney)

Bklyn, I am in the same boat, not sure about video anymore..

Narrowing down the dresses..
and re-working hair and makeup, right now that's all i can fit in..

FlaCa, We are looking at two vendors for each area (photo we looked at perceptions and Duet, Flowers we looked at LA Blossems and Flower Michele) the only thing we booked on the spot was the hall and that was becuase I have been to a wedding at the hotel and it fit all of our criteria (and price range). I dont want to go to more then two per thing because I basically know what I want and If i click with the person (and the price is what we need) then I will book. I've read many reviews on all the people we've looked at so its all good.

I did the same thing. If it weren't for you guys- my crazy week booking vendors in NY would have been a worse nightmare. I actually only went to one photographer since they had exactly what I wanted- duet. And I only went with one florist since we clicked right away and she was in my budget. My dad actually picked the hall. We booked it without seeing it all. All I knew about it was location and approx. price. Crazy huh??????

Girl I still havent been able to find a dress (not putting in much effort either). But I cant decide if I want a chapel or cathedral veil. Do you think cathedral is overkill? I just want the veil to go a bit over my dress, like maybe a foot. I need to make a decision because Im having it made in my home country, Guatemala.

So....what is everyone up to wedding wise???

I am trying to coordinate all of my stationery and paper projects right now. Being that while school is in session all I can do is cut paper.

I am also thinking of making a trip down to the NEW Home Depot in Manhattan to get some caps for my ribbon wands!!!

Yay! Have an awsome time at your E-Party next week!

I am thinking about getting off my butt and picking BM dresses. After that I need to book limos.
I booked most of my majore vendors (church hall, florist, photographer, dj) now I need to start thinking about little things like what I want my flowers, cake, invites, favors etc to look like. Then I can move on to actually doing them.

Wow, you ladies are no joke and making some serious progress. I have booked the hall, video, photographer, ceremony music(string quartet) officiant and dress.

Lots more to do!

I'm moving along. All the dresses have been decided on (all the girls just have to go get measured), my flowers have been decided on( ), HM has been booked....and that's all within the last week!

Next is tiara, veil, shoes, limo, bathroom baskets, invitations................and the list goes on.
