Thanks.....lol...when I told her I didn't want a flower girl or a ring bearer she was so upset that she said she wasn't coming....I could only imagine what she''l say this time...lol

No flower girl or ring bearer. Wow!! So is there going to be anything traditional at the wedding to make your mom feel somewhat at ease or you are flipping the script on everything? Your mother must be going nuts!

I'm not sure as yet....I will have some traditional stuff but I love to be different....I don have that many family members coming because they live outside of the US and can't travel here so my guests will consist of mostly my friends. I kind of want my wedding to be more like a party. I'm all about having fun. I am having a priest marry us so that;s traditional...lol...but as soon the ceremony is over I want to break loose and enjoy the wonderful day.

By the way, the reason for no flower girl and ring bearer is because I have too many little nephews and cousins and god children to choose from....lol...thats leads to why I wasn't having children at the wedding either.....lol...my madness never ends...lol

totally understand the no kids thing. That is still an on going battle with FH and his family!

And congrats on the recent engagement!!

Lol she figured that. You would definetely recognize her, she's not a very shy unlike her big sis.

Well it's nice to somewhat know a fellow bride on the boards so if you need any help or advice please feel free to ask, sometime a lot of things are discussed on the boards that may not relate to a West Indian bride and can also get a little frustrating when you can't find info.

Awww no worries. She said she thinks she spoke to you about members of CSA performing at the last event HSA had.

I'll send you her myspace and facebook info in a forum mail.

Hello again ladies, I am Guyanese. I am still in the beginning states of planning our wedding. Still have not found a RH I love. How are you guys doing with your planning. I see most of you have RH done.

You have sooo much accomplished, I have done nothing. I am so freaking stressed. I hope to book our RH after the holidays, if I still have any money left.

Ok, we can do it! FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves so price is defiantly a factor. I am in queens and I do not want to venture too far out LI which limits my choices tremendously.

Yes we can....I am in queens right now because I'm finishing up school but we live in Fl now. We are having the wedding in NY because this is where most of our friends and fam are, I would love to get married in Queens or BK so it would be convenient for my guests but I am not loving the hall that I see..I am just going to have to go to LI
