How many brides used Westbury Gardens for their pictures... do you think it is worth it? As I find it adds up they cost alot and also it ads on to the Limo price as you need more than the standard 3hr package...just curious as I do realize that the pictures are the only thing you will have when all is said and done.

Re: Westbury Gardens or Catering Hall
I won't be going there because of the distance for me, but I wish I could - a friend of mine was in a wedding party that went there for pictures and said it was AMAZING - she said she will definitely be going there for hers. If you can do it, I would because I'm sure you'll get really beautiful pictures out of it.

Re: Westbury Gardens or Catering Hall
We took our pictures there and I have to say it was worth it. Our catering hall didn't offer much in the way of backrounds for pictures so so I am very glad we went there.
I will be honest though - it is a big park and I was very warm walking around in my gown. Plus I didn't want to drink anything because I refused to use the bathroom there.
Also, I don't think you 'need' to drag the bridal party around. I sill feel awful that they are in maybe 15 out of 200 pictures after spending all that time walking around the park.

I splurged and I'm sure it was the best thing I did. I LOVE photography and my pictures were very, very important to me, so I wanted only the best when it came to that. To me the Gardens were the best place to go. The beauty there is remarkable.
I did not pick up my proofs yet, I'm going on Sat. morning. But they are in- and my photographer assured me that there are some absolutely amazing shots.
I honestly have only seen beautiful pictures from Old Westbury. You can't go wrong.
Plus I loved the feature that if it rained you can go inside the mansion and take pictures INSIDE! I wanted that comfort. Thank God I didn't need it, since I had a magnificent day!

Re: Westbury Gardens or Catering Hall
I think we are also going to use westbury gardens. I am worried that if it rains, my pictures will suck. Although the watermill is beautiful, they have very limited indoor places to take pictures. I think it is definitely worth the money, if nothing but for peace of mind.
