Hi guys!
We also booked WM and I'm getting married on October 5, 2012. We're planning a fall theme wedding with lots of rust/earth tone colors. I was just wondering what hours did they give you because for a Friday night or Saturday night events our BM said they schedule it starting at 8PM for the ceremony then 8:30-1:30 AM for the actual party. Am I the only one who thinks this is a little late? I would love to have an earlier ceremony maybe 5 or 6 but 8 is kinda late.

Question ... What is dazzling moments all about? Do we have to meeting with? I know it's included in the booking with WM, but do you have to pay extra for anything? Did you use them to book any vendors? How good were the discounts they got you?
I'm going to the showcase in October ... Anyone else going?

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides
It depends on what room you have! The bigger room gets the earlier start. That's what I was told. I am a saturday night in June and my reception ends at 130.

Oh ok, so it ends the same as mine. They gave us the garden room which seats about 130 ppl. I'm starting to freak out cuz I definitely don't want the room to be too tight if we go over. We have about 150 people on the guest list.

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides
I'm a Friday night in November and my CH starts at 7 and the wedding ends at 12am. I'm not having my Vermont there though, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.
My BM did say that they stagger weddings so maybe that's why.

I have the garden room too and I am in the same boat! Of course when we booked our list was smaller! UGH

You dont need to meet with them. We didnt. We used none of the vendors that they recommend. I called a 'recommended vendor' for limos and they were more expensive then a non recommended vendor. I said I am a WM bride is there a better price and the answer was NO!

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides
we met with Dazzling Moments....she just made appointments for the WM reccomended vendors and you get a discount off of their products. The only reccomended vendor I have booked is After Hours- I LOVE Phil! I'm glad we did meet with them because they threw a cocktail hour tasting party last week for their clients, which was nice to go to. I am also going to the showcase on the 14th- we can't justify spending $4 a head for a mashed potato bar so FH wants to eat all the potatoes he can until the big day!

I do agree that does seem a little late...my C.H begins at 6:30 but they will be opening the doors up at 6. My party goes til 11:30. We have the Manor Room and the library, conservetory, and Hill Room for CH.

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides
If you guys don't mind sharing, what's the guarantee for the Manor Room? I have to guarantee 80 people for the Garden Room. Did I just make a mistake by telling them we're planning on inviting 150 people? That's why they gave me a smaller room? I know people always try to say that not everyone will show up but at this point I'm kinda freaking out. LOL

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides
Exactly. When I went there last June I didn't take into account the size of the room vs the number of guests. My BM said it's best to limit it to 130, that's a comfortable number. 140-150 is definitely pushing it a bit...

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides
We have to guarantee 150 for the manor room. I told our BM that we expect to have 150-200 guests, but it will probably be closer to the 150-160 range.
Are you all having you ceremony there? Since I am getting married in a church, they said I can come to WM up to 3 hours before CH and take pictures with our family, and they would have a mini cocktail hour free of charge for us.

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides
Am getting married @ WM as well July 4, 2012 and am in Manor room but am unsure of how many people to invite we ONLY want 150 people but people are telling me to invite 170-200, what happens if we get suck with more than 150 people?
