Another question, do you like the new chairs or are you going to still have them covered. I'm having my wedding anniversary there on April 28 2012 and can't decide.

I LOVe their new chairs, and they are exactly what I wanted. So I am not covering them up!

I'm in the Garden room starting at 8 until 1. I complained that it was too late if I could start at 7 and end at midnight but Ian said no.

Am getting married @ WM as well July 4, 2012 and am in Manor room but am unsure of how many people to invite we ONLY want 150 people but people are telling me to invite 170-200, what happens if we get suck with more than 150 people?

I guarenteed 200 for the Manor Room..would really like to keep it at 200. However, you have to make room for people to say no, so we are inviting 230!

Multiple people at WM said we couldn't taste the food! It's frustrating!

If you guys don't mind sharing, what's the guarantee for the Manor Room? I have to guarantee 80 people for the Garden Room. Did I just make a mistake by telling them we're planning on inviting 150 people? That's why they gave me a smaller room? I know people always try to say that not everyone will show up but at this point I'm kinda freaking out. LOL

I'm freaking about inviting 230! LOL...ummmmm...is there any way you could switch to the Manor Room? Tell them you're inviting more people and guarentee 150, if you could? Remember they will count vendors as guests if you need to.

When we went to WM for our first visit they said we could do the tasting and when we went back to sign the contract our BM said she would set up the tasting for us.

You can always try the restaurant, I'm sure the food is as close to the food they will cooking for weddings

I wonder why you ladies have to guarantee so many for the Manor room???

Do your vendors really count as guests?
opheliadunn Posted:

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides

that my concern as well, am inviting 180 but really only care 150 to show up...what happens if every one comes...lol At a past wedding they drop and table down and wiped out come some chairs bc 10 people showed up that said they would not ,smh

I was told vendors only count after make my guarantee of 125, then vendors and kids are counted at the discounted rate of $45 per person

My vendors said we DONT have to feed them. I dont know - I feel bad not feeding them but where will they sit? I have no room for them!

Gotcha .. My BM told me that once i meet my minimum, kids under 5 are free. I really dont care to have children at my wedding, but how do I tell my sister (my niece will be 3 and she is having another baby in March), and FHs cousin, who is like a sister to him and has twin girls (who will be 3), that they can't bring their kids? Hey at least if I meet my minimum they will be free!!

What day is your wedding? We were told Saturday nights guarantee 200....I feel like we've all been told different things! I was told no tasting but I could count my vendors if I needed to.

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides

I was told 200 if on a Saturday too, but my weddings on a Wesnesday so it's only 125:)
I have 2 kids and they weren't allowed at any of the weddings we've been to in the last year, so sorry but am going to have to break the news as well

I'm wondering why we've been told different things too and you can't do food tastings, that's nuts!

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides

My wedding is a Friday nit in November, so maybe that's why... Hmmm??

I think I am going to limit the children invited by only doing 'and family' to my sister and his cousin, everyone else is a Mr and Mrs. only!! Uugghh I really don't want kids there!!

Re: Westbury Manor 2012 Brides

I hear you! I have a flower girl and a junior bridesmaid, plus his 2 little cousins..other then that, that's it for us! I hate the 'logistics' of you have to invite and who you don't!
