Let's get to know eachother! What kind of wedding are you planning? Our wedding is on December 1st and are incorporating a Christmas theme into the wedding. Let's talk about everything..cocktail hour, vendors....I'm so excited! :)
I am in the Manor Room..how about you? We met with the party planner today. She said they are having a cocktail party on Sep 12 where we can sample CH foods. I did not set up a cake tasting yet, all we have to do is call Francesco's to do so. Will you be at the cocktail party? It is the same day as the LIW Extravaganza so we are going to go to both!
I am not sure. I probably will go. My fiance actually asked me last night when we can pick out the foods. I told him about 2 months before. We did a tasting before we booked. I dont eat meat. My meal was the worst but I knew it! I will have to mark teh 12th down in my datebook! I still need limos. We didnt meet with teh coordinator! Do you think we need to? I have my photographer/videographer and flowers.
we didn't get to do a tasting, and they told us we won't be able to taste the entrees since there are 7!
I'm almost afraid to ask, but how far ahead did you book?
They gave us a bunch of things. I only had the veggie dish because I dont eat meat! We did our tasting before we booked a date with them. My fiance wanted to taste the food before we signed away! Pretty smart....I never would have thought about that! We did that in April 2011 and our wedding is June 2012. So what will they give you to taste one out of the 7? Who is your banquet manager?

You're kidding? Maybe we just got lucky. Did you got the showcases? I have not gone yet. Who have you been dealing with?
I wish we thought to ask before we booked! We booked in June and our wedding is in December 2012. We have been dealing with Ian.We are going to the cocktail party to taste the CH food on the 12th. My FH went to the expo in June-I had class so I couldn't make it-and he said it was just all of the enhancements, but not any of the food we would be having! I'd like to at least try a couple of dishes, not happy we can't taste!

Hmmm, You could always go for dinner to get an idea of the food but you shouldnt have to!

I'm having my wedding anniversary there in the Garden room on April 28, 2012. Does anyone know if they do uplighting I forgot to ask when I booked.
As far as tasting we were told to wait until at least two months before. Ian is our bamquet manager, very nice guy.
ahh im doing a peacock theme too and westbury manor was one of my top choices... : )

There is no uplighting provided but if you look at my review you can see plenty of room pics with upligthing we got through our DJ.
We had a tasting and it was about 2 or 3 months out. It was in the Polo Lounge and there was a ton of food. We picked the menu/linens etc. about a month out. At the showcase you will taste TONS of food! They have different stations each time (we went to 4 of them b/c DH wanted to eat. LOL). The last one we went to had the Italian food cart, take home station, cake station, gelato station, Martini Bar and Sangria bar not to mention tons of hand passed hor d'oeuvres.

Ian and kelly are from dazzling moments...who are you dealing with at Westbury Manor???? You need to speak to someone at WM!!!! Not Dazzling Moments....I have had nothing but good experiences dealing with the people from WM... I didnt even meet with the dazzling moments people. Not sure I should. What can they do for me? Contact the person you signed the contract with. Tell that person you would like to taste the food, I would even tell them the people from Dazzling Moments said you cant!

Maybe call and speak to someone else! There has to be a way to taste the food! That sounds so silly!!
