Re: Westbury Manor Brides
I haven't been to any weddings there and I'm getting married there in Sept. 04. However, if you do a search, most posts say that they had wonderful experiences there. Which room are you getting married in?

Tanbride - Just a question - When you went to select the menu, was it an actual tasting or did you just pick items of the menu. Just wondering since I remember a post a while ago about it and never got a clear understanding about what happens. Good lUck!!! I hope you have a fantastic day!! All the Westbury brides will be anxiously awaiting your review when you get back from your HM

Unfortunately we didn't get any tastings! If I could complain about anything, that would be it, I guess I could have asked for some appetizers but we didn't. We did get to taste the wines b/c we are having red/white wines on the tables.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Weather looks great for Sunday so now we can have the cocktail hour outside!!! I promise a full review!

i am having my reception at w. manor next october. The place is beautiful..and the man who helped us with the booking was very nice. I didn't know that there would not be a tasting of the foods, but they have such great foods to choose from for your menu, i'm sure they will all be delicious!

Re: Westbury Manor Brides
i am having our reception there on may 30th and I can not wait to read your review, as many reviews that this page posts there never seems to be any for WBM. There are alwyas mixed answers liek when I was trying to figure out the rolling bar situation and the vianese hr (SP) positioning I got som many thoughts but noone that actually ahd there reception there. What room are you all having your reception in. I think it would be fun if we keep this as a board on going for us to discuss what we plan on doing. Congrats to you all and may your wedding day be even more spectacular then you ever imagined it.

Re: Westbury Manor Brides
Thanks Annette for your warm wishes! We aren't getting the Vienese hour but are getting pastries/cookie/fruit trays on the table plus the wedding cake instead. Also, we aren't using a rolling bar since there's a bar in the Manor room and the waiters and waitresses take drink orders - plus, we added white and red wine on the tables too so I hope it all works out!

Re: Westbury Manor Brides
We are having our reception in the Manor room. So far we have been very happy with the service we have received. We don't get a food tasting which my FH was upset about but we are going to the restaurant to try things out. My FH's cousin was at a wedding there in August and ahe said it was the best wedding she had ever been to. She loved the wine at the table and said you never wanted for a drink. The waitstaff was constantly taking orders. No rolling bar needed. We are having the cookies/pastry on the table along with the cake. Let me know how things work out. Can't wait for a post.

Re: Westbury Manor Brides
I graduated in '94. I hope the scaffolding is down in a year. It has been up for at least 6-8 months due to some waterproofing problems. At least the inside remains scaffolding free!

Re: Westbury Manor Brides
Tanbride good luck with everything. You are going to have a beautiful day, weather-wise. Did you use any of the house recommended vendors? I see you are going to Hawaii too. We are flying into Oahu, then Kaui then Maui. Let me know how everything went.

Re: Westbury Manor Brides
You may get a discount with Fox Hollow but it is still super expensive We are using the Holiday Inn on Old Country Road for our guests. Has anyone picked out their menu yet? I was wondering what chicken dish from the 4 seasons menu would be good. Concerned about food, last night I was at a wedding and the food was Horrible!
