Re: Westbury Manor Brides

Hi ladies, my DH and I were married at the Westbury Manor last November. Do not worry about a thing! From the moment we walked in the door 'til we left, we (along with our guests) were treated like royalty!!! Everyone there did their best to make our day truly special.

I posted a wedding review-I'll dig it up later.

Let me know if you have any questions!!

P.S. kelly4-happy (almost) anniversary

Re: Westbury Manor Brides

Mayday - since you asked...
1 - I have heard that the service during cocktail hour can sometimes be a bit slow - just see if you notice that

2- if they are having a viennese hour - can you take a picture of it

3- also a pic of sweatheart table/centerpieces if you can

If you can't take the pictures, I totally understand. Thank you for the offer and have fun! Let us know how it goes!

Re: Westbury Manor Brides

I got married there last May. Everyone there was wonderful. The food was fantastic! They made sure that the bridal party had plenty of food and drink while we were taking pictures before the cocktail hour. Then we we got to the cocktail hour they wisked me and my husband to the library and sat us down. They made sure we ate and that we had everything we wanted throughout the night. The only complaints that I have is that I asked for a shamrock ice sculpture and they did the traditional heart with swans. And I didn't like the flowers they put on the cake. Both of these things were handled over the phone during the week of the wedding. (We didn't meet our minimum so we were negotiating extras that's why they wouldn't agree to a specific type of flower). Of course none of the guests notice these things. Again the service was fantastic. For example, our car service was an hour late and the maitre Ds (from both weddings that night) stayed with us and called the limo company for us. You're in good hands there!

Re: Westbury Manor Brides

I got married there two weeks ago- I haven't done my review yet but it was awesome. I know everybody says that there wedding was good but the Westbury Manor was so much better than I thought it would be. I didn't notice the scaffolding. I didn't have a tasting but we went to dinner there so I knew what the food was like- we did get some appetizers. We had the Manor room. The maitre d and bridal attendant were so attentive- it was unbelievable. I saw the bridal attendent changing our ice cream because it was melting because we did not sit down right away- we always had full drinks. They redid the bathrooms which was one of the things that bothered me when we booked and now with the no smoking there is no more cigarette machine in the lobby. The one thing that you should know is that even though it says you have to use a house florist in the contract you do not.

Anybody have or been to a cocktail hour in the Garden room? Just wondering if they decorate the CH tables at all.

Re: Westbury Manor Brides

My brother got married there last March, and there were absolutely no complaints. The bridal attendant was wonderful, the food fantastic, and the service was great. We never lacked for food or drinks (which almost could have been a bad thing) and we got sooooo much food during the picture taking we were hardly hungry by the time the cocktail hour started. They got married at the Manor...so we were there early. The only thing bad that I could possibly say, was that we made our own drinks at one point, but that was before the ceremony, and I don't think they expected us to finish our first round of drinks as fast as we did....Nervous energy I suppose. If you are thinking about it, it is a wonderful choice. They really are nice people. BTW, my mom left some pretty important stuff in the Bridal Suite and they saved it for us.

Re: Westbury Manor Brides

I am booked at Westbury on July 1st, 2005. I only looked at 3 places and instantly fell in love with the Manor Room. I love that it's a big, square dance floor and no poles to block anyones view.
We worked with Dave and he sold us right away. We ate in the restaurant also, but I am surprised they do not let you try any food before hand.

Has anyone had an outdoor ceremony there? We are getting married outside (Weather permitting)
Also, does Westbury provide music during the cocktail hour or do I have to hire another hour?
Any input would be great! I went in a few weeks ago to drop off a deposit and I love it more every time I see it!
