Westbury Manor Brides - hotels and restaurants nearby?
I signed a hotel block for the hyatt where they give us a free room but I want to also check the Viana but they were booked up already. I like the Hyatt but I wanted to compare - are there any other hotels near WM that I am missing?FMIL wants to do a brunch the next day and the hotel has no place she could hold it so can anyone think of any other options that are in that area? I am not completely familiar with the area but there are tons of things over there so there must be something she can book for the next day. It will probably be about 20 something people.

Can't help you with hotels, but there's a restaurant Papa Razzi down the street that does brunches. I went to a bridal shower brunch there once, it was very nice. Also, Westbury Manor has a couple of restaurants inside. Maybe they could give you a good deal on a brunch since you're holding your wedding there.

We booked at WM and the Hytatt & we were told and received paperwork stating if we wanted a brunch the next day they have a meeting room that accommodates 30.

I also did my hotel block with the hyatt. Breakfast is included for guest staying at the hotel.

Do you have to give a deposit for the meeting room?

I am not sure but they didn't make it sound like we would have to at all. They made it sound like it was complimentary...

Yes and the room they had was already booked that day. It also had to be catered from outside the hotel... they didn't make it seem like breakfast was included? I'll have to double check that.

I was actually thinking of asking WM... I need to find my BM's email address and do that today!

What about the Hampton Inn on Jericho Turnpike in Westbury? I used them for my block and everything worked out well. The only downside is that they don't have a bar.

It might be a good idea to block off two hotels, but I think we won't need anymore than the ten rooms that are blocked off. The weddings is late enough at night that it doesn't have to have a bar.
I also did the Hyatt because that's where we are staying and if we get ten rooms there is a free shuttle.
If my BM gets back to me with restaurant recommendations I will fill everyone in!
