Does anyone know how many the Garden Room holds? And how many tables that equates to? I heard not to go over 150 people, and we invited 160 - we are hoping for some no's!!!! (Although we are constanly reassured that we will get them I still have butterflies!)
TIA!!!

Hello Westbury Manor brides, my name is Maureen Lobenstein, I am a banquet manager at Westbury Manor. I wanted to address your concerns on the Garden room with you. The Garden Room can accomadate 10 tables of up to 14 people at each plus a dais for 2, making the max 146 people. If you wish to omit the dais and add another table this would bring you total max capacity of the room to 156 people. If any of you ever have any concerns you are always more than welcome to call us here at Westbury Manor. Our number is
516-333-7117.
Congratulations to you all. The staff at Westbury Manor look forward to delivering a flawless event for all of you. Thank you & Happy Planning!
The max is 146 with a dais set up. If you do not want a dais aka sweetheart table and opt for a standard table (like a bride/groom bridal party table) you can fit 156.

Hello ladies,
Do you know if WM provides table numbers? I know they provide place cards but what about the numbers.
Thanks in advance
Yes, they provide framed table numbers. They are 5 x 7 frames.

Honestly, the room is not big enough to comfortably hold 146-150 people...I would say 10 tables with appx 10-12 guests per table with a 14 per. table top...making it appx 120-125 guests max...once again, speaking from a personal experience.

I am pretty sure when we first saw WM they told us the Garden Room could comfortably hold 120 people - anything about that would start feeling tight.

I don't want to quote everything that came after that, but this isn't what the seating plan worksheet says -it says you can have 11 tables, 14 tables maximum. That would make your total 154, 156 when you include the bride and groom.
I had 11 tables with between 9 and 14 people per table. It was a little tight at some tables, but no one complained. I had about 130 guests. I can't imagine squeezing 154 in that room though. I would imagine it would be very very tight and difficult for people to move around.

Hi All!I just found this thread and I have to say, its been so helpful in my planning! I am getting married August 11, 2006 at WM and I can't wait! The ceremony (hopefully) will be outdoors, and cocktail hour (hopefully!) on the lawn. The library, conservatory, and garden room are ours for the reception. Yea!

Aww, thanks. I appreciate it! I'm just starting to get worried because we havent gotten the call to go over our menu, and its only 5 weeks away! I called yesterday and left a message with Kelly, but no one has gotten back to me yet.
I'm sure I'm just antsy!
