Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

When you meet with Kelly you will pick out all the food choices for the cocktail hour, reception, your linens and cake. They will send you a list of all the extra add-ons you can get and you can discuss those there as well. At the end of the meeting she will give you seating charts to fill out, you will pick the date for your final drop-off and get the date which you have to call in with your final count. Have fun! She is so nice!!

I am ready...I think...

I still have some things to do, but I am just about ready. I need to breathe. I feel dizzy and nauseous.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

What are you doing as far as decorations for the sweetheart table? Are you just putting the bouquets on the table, a small flower arrangement, rose petals?? I am at a loss. Everyday I change my mind.

Babybride:

------------------------------------

John did a beautiful job decorating my cake and our table. He put votives on the table and spread rose petals. We then put the girls boo-ks on the table. It looked great.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I posted my full review on the main board but I will just say again, WBM was awesome. Everyone had a great time. Many people commented on the CH being deliciuos as well as al the other food. Honestly, I didn't think the cake was so good. But we had the vienetta ice cream so that made up for it.

Oh and remember how I fretted over the Ch being outside.... well whoo-hoo it was outside. Not in the section that was pointed out to us by Gennerro originally but it was still nice and people enjoyed themselves. At that point we were so happy it didn't matter that much to us.

Im back and married and oh sooo depressed that it is over. I just posted my review on the review board.
Ladies you have nothing to worry about WBM was perfect other than the cake it was so dry and the flowers that we payed for were not woth t have your florist do it IMO.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I was just wondering if anyonw knew the answer to this..... I saw someonw who had signiture drinks at the wedding named after there bridal party( like cosmo etc. with just the name changed to a name of someone in the party) I really liked this idea and I was just wondering if anyone has done this. and if the westbury manor would allow us to do this. Thank You

I almost forgot we had this thread. Here is a link to a website that has pics of my wedding.

Choose English and then scroll to the bottom of the page and you can click on either of the links to see pics that were taken by my brother and SIL and DH's cousin

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I had my reception in the Garden Room a month ago with approximately 115 guests with 9-13 people at a table. I thought that the room was just right. Obviously some tables we could have added more but I didn't hear anyone complain about room. Although when I booked the room I was told that it can hold up to 150 which I think would get a bit tight.

You guys are definately in good hands. Although there were some minor problems before hand, the day went perfectly. Everyone raved about the food, the grounds, and the staff. If I could do it all over again, I would pick the same vendors. I don't think anyone else could have done a better job. If you have some specific questions, please let me know and I'll try to answer.

In regards to naming drinks after people, I had never heard of that but I like it. I really don't see why WM wouldn't be able to accomodate this request. Just ask, it can't hurt.

Good luck with your planning. I wish you the best. :)
