I just got a call and made an appointment for wednesday - I'm so excited!

As far as the ice sculpture, I think we are going with the ice vase with the fresh flowers in it.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Enjoy these alst months, I know its hard not to stress out. Don't wish it would happen and get over with already, because it is the fastest day of your life. Everyoen told me that and i did nto beleive them. So trust me when the day comes enjoy every second of it, forget about what goes wrong, dont worry about all your guest and spendign time with them, the point is it is both orf your days, you only get it once and you an see everyone else after you get back. Embrace every second.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Alright WM ladies that are already married ...

what advice / things you wish you'd known / things to make sure we do / things to make sure we have for the Westbury Manor???????

Basically, what did you do and what else should you have done to make the hall/reception absolutely PERFECT ....

whether it's menu cards, special place cards, DJ volume, table set up, instructions for matire D, food selections, etc ...

WHAT IS A 'MUST HAVE LIST' FOR US BRIDES TO BE FOR THE WESTBURY MANOR?

Just make a list and let's keep adding to it!

The Westbury Manor put the flowers on the cake for you? I'll make sure the florist does it.

Good advice, thank you!

Did you use their placecards or did you make your own?
Was there a bathroom attendant?

I used their placecards and yes there was a bathroom attendent. You dont need to bother with a bathroom basket they had things in the bathroom to offer to the guests. We had no complaints. Everyone was so nice and helpful, all our guests raved about the food. We got the Viennese trays for the tables which went over well.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I haven't posted in awhile. Are there many ice sculptures to chose from?

Also, I have the Manor room, and do not like the chairs. I wanted to have chair linens put on them. How far in advance do you pick out the linens? I wonder if I could see them earlier to make sure I can find a company who may have the matching chair linens.

It sounds like everyone is doing great with all the planning. I'm glad the wedding these past couple of months have been wonderful.

When I made my choices, they didn't have anything for me to look at to choose my sculpture, so you should research now and bring them a picture of what you want if it isn't basic (I had them do a vase and put fresh flowers in it).

Babybride used chair covers, I don't know where she got them from though so FM her.

I have to say, my wedding was great EXCEPT I wasn't thrilled with my Maitre'd. if you're getting married there, make sure they know what religion you are - I say this because my maiden name is Jewish so naturally, everyone assumed I was, but I'm not. There's a difference between the processionals for catholic and jewish weddings. My maitre'd INSISTED that the BP stand on the wrong side and had my guests sit on the wrong side of the aisle. My BP switched themselves, but when it came time for our mom's to come up for the unity candle lighting, they were on the wrong side, so my MIL handed me the candle instead of my mom. And he had an attitude when we told him he was wrong. I really should do a review, but I've been hesitant because I'm not giving rave reviews like everyone else. I had one other issue, but once again, it was with this particular Maitre'd.
