I just started to look at wedding venues this past weekend and I am trying to choose between Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor for a September event. My concern with Westbury Manor is that the Garden Room's dance floor is too small for a party of 110. I also heard some complaints about the food. Can someone please help and tell me what you think??? My FH thinks I'm nuts for being so indecisive.

Re: Westbury Manor Garden Room
Nah you aren't nuts! I'm having Westbury Manor Garden and I don't think everything will be on the dance floor at once, but I hear it's very comfortable for that amount of people. That is probably what I am having. I never heard anything bad about the food but I'm only going on past reviews from people I know who have been to weddings there. I think you wouldn't have to worry I have never been to Fox Hollow but it looks beautiful. I personally like a cozier feel so I went with Westbury but it all depends what you like.

My Cousin got married there, she had approx 110 people & it was comfortable on the dance floor. A LOT of people were up dancing too! The food - FANTASTIC! Actually, I've never heard anything bad about the food there ever...

Crashing...
Did you know that Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor are the same owners, so very similar food quality.

Re: Westbury Manor Garden Room
Wm and Fox Hollow are not the same owners. They are cousins and seperated years ago.
I looked at both and the bottom line was WM had my heart. We asked for a food tasting and it wasnt a problem. We were blown away by the food. The customer service each time i have a question is above and beyond and I literally could not envison my day anywhere else now.
For me 2 events was better at a time then 3 or 4. I am nto the only bride at WM but they are in different areas and that made me comfortable.
I hth!
Good luck and joing us on the WM thread on the 2013 board!!

I have the Garden room, and for some reason, Im not too worried about the size. I think you will have just enough room.!!!

Re: Westbury Manor Garden Room
We booked the Winter Garden Pavilion at Fox Hollow because it was cozy and gave us everything we wanted at the site.
We looked at Westbury Manor, and the grounds were gorgeous, but the ceilings in the room we were shown were just too low for me to imagine being okay with all night.
I think it really is going to be a factor you can only determine by going to the venues and checking them out - and I hope you find something you love and meets your criteria!
I felt the same way about the size of the room but that was because I was thinking 125 people (we have since increased the size of our wedding once we actually got our lists together) but when I went back to WM the bigger room was booked. The BM I met with Natasha was so nice and gave us some desserts to sample and from what I tasted they were great. I think that you do need to be comfortable with your choice though, we saw 11 places in the course of 2 days and it was not me being indecisive but being certain that this was the place I wanted to spend my big day at.
