Hi - I've narrowed down my list of reception halls to Westbury Manor and Crest Hollow. I really do like Westbury Manor but unfortunately, they will not be able to do a ceremony for us because there is no space inside available in case it rains. This is only an issue for Fri and Sat PM weddings. For those who were in the same situation, what did you end up doing? I'm wondering if there's anyway to negotiate on this. i.e. have the ceremony in the largest cocktail hour room? FH and I are not religious so we don't want to go to a church and we are hoping to keep the ceremony and reception in one location.
Thanks!

Re: Westbury Manor - no Sat PM Ceremony
My friends are actually getting married tomorrow and they had the same problem, their reception is at Westbury Manor. Since they cant do the ceremony there they are having the ceremony at the interfaith chapel on the campus of CW Post.

Re: Westbury Manor - no Sat PM Ceremony
This was the whole reason we did not get married at the Westbury Manor. I had my heart set on that place but once we found out no Sat PM ceremony, we started looking elsewhere. We ended up choosing the Milleridge Cottage, which was amazing! I recommend checking out this place!

Re: Westbury Manor - no Sat PM Ceremony
Same for me. I wanted The Watermill but they didn't do a Saturday PM ceremony so I moved on. I really wanted everything in one place.
My family and I have been to a number of weddings at both Westbury and at Crest Hollow. We liked both, but personally, we all liked Crest Hollow better....either way, i dont think you can lose.
But if you have your heart set on Westbury Manor, I would call up and see what you can negotiate. I'm sure they would be willing to work with you. At the Watermill, the back up plan in case of rain was having the ceremony inside the ballroom.

Re: Westbury Manor - no Sat PM Ceremony
Well, if they cannot negotiate on this you have a few choices: 1) have your ceremony somewhere else like CW post or the Historic Chapel in Woodbury 2) find someplace that can accomodate your sat. afternoon ceremony and reception. 3) choose a different time or day for your wedding
