Re: Westbury Manor THREAD!!!!

Hi,
I'm going with FH to visit Westbury Manor. Any advice? The pics on the website are so beautiful. I will also be visiting Jericho Terrace. I have already visited Stewart Manor (lovely but not for us) I'm so glad you started this thread; especially if I choose Westbury Manor for my July 2010 wedding.

Re: Westbury Manor THREAD!!!!

I love WM because it does not feel like a catering hall to me...we loved the grounds but that was not the decideing factor because it could rain.

We already knew we wanted an intimate wedding and it just felt right when we were there so it really depends on what you are looking for.

They give you so much food it is unbelieveable. Don't be afraid to ask for things thrown in or for them to lower the $ per person. I felt they really worked with us.

Ask all the questions you want everyone there was super friendly.

Re: Westbury Manor THREAD!!!!

CP question: FH and I are thinking that tall CPs in the Manor Room might make the room look smaller because the ceiling are not very high. What do you girls think?

Some pics to help you decide....

High CPs:

Low CPs:

Great pics! I was thinking the same thing! I was thinking of going with all low! I haven't went to the florist yet though, so I may change my mind.

I'm going all low on mine. When we went back to sign the contract and we did another walk through, they were setting up for a wedding and they had the tables set with low CPs and I just loved the way they looked in the Manor Room

Good to know!! I was there twice while they were setting up, once they were all low but big, and the other had very simple high ones, like a long cylinder with just a few branches coming out the top, I thought that looked nice, but I want flowers, so I think I'll go with all low.

Re: Westbury Manor THREAD!!!!

Mixes of highs and lows is a good option too. My concern was people being able to see across the table also, and the lower ceilings in the WM. I have a ton of CP ideas so I'll put more in my album. But this is my current favorite:

I went to your album to look at the picture. Then I right-clicked on the picture and selected PROPERTIES. A pop-up box comes up where you can get the URL address for the picture. Copy that and when you post select INSERT WEB IMAGE and past in the URL. Hope that helps! :)
