If you love that place then I say go for it. Your brother got married already so why would he care, I could understand if he didn't get married yet. Have you looked at other RH also??

I feel the same exact way. I was actually able to narrow down my list a lot b/c that is where family or friends got married.

Re: Westbury Manor...or my Pride??
i didnt look at places that family got married at just because I wanted something different from what they had. I didnt want my family to walk in and say 'Oh i remember when...' or 'I loved the way the other colors looked here..' That being said, you can absolutely mkae the place your own and do it hte way you want. If that is where you want to get married then i say go for it. Do what makes YOU happy not anyone else.

Re: Westbury Manor...or my Pride??
i truly dont understand what the problem is... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If you love the place, then you LOVE the place... no ifs ands or buts.
Well i was hesitant booking Russo's because I didn't want to hear it from my step sister that it was played out and others saying other stupid s h i t but it was the place that i felt the most at home !!! I love the food and service and I just couldn't get it out of my head even after looking at 4 other places so i said it's my wedding i'm going to make myself happy and really do it up !! So do what makes you happy and do it better than his wedding !!!!
I agree with the girls and I would say look somewhere else if possible. Are you picking WM because after attending your brothers weddiing you decided. If not, try some other places. I wouldn't want anyone doing compare and contrast between the you and brother's wedding.

Re: Westbury Manor...or my Pride??
I say go with what you feel and want. It's your day! however, I personally wouldn't choose the same, but that is my personal preference. My cousin's wedding was probably the best I had been to, but I purposely did not go to see her venue bc our family had already been there. I went to see 7 or 8 other venues and really really love my venue too and have no doubts, that my own wedding will soon be the best wedding i've even been to!
