What are other BRIDES (esp. JT brides) doing?

CAKE STANDS

Jericho Terrace doesnt provide a cake stand and I went to the bakery (Dortoni's) and they don't use them OR rent them. They recommended The Chocolate Duck in Farmingdale...but I called and they don't rent them either.

I need a 22' square silver one.... should I buy (they are expensive.... $170 I will probably NEvER use it again....I can sell it on ebay.... what should i do?

Any suggestions?

maybe michaels will have one...my cousin made me a cake for a little engagment get together for mine and fh close family (like a pre-engagement parrty) well anyway she made an amazing cake (prob better then any wedding cake i get)

and the stand came from michaels....

Thanks! I will check out Michaels. Someone also recommended Party City. There's a shopping center in Levittown with both of those stores! How easy is that! Thank you!

check e-bay or party supply stores. Actually here i just checked and even amazon.com sells them, this one is similar to the ones in the pictures posted

actually try e-bay better than amazon...the one on amazon is $88 and this one is the same thing on e-bay and its at $9.99 right now

The bakery JT uses is a very well known bakery in Long Island. I've heard nothing but good things about their cake.

Personally, I'm not worrying about the cake stand. No one will know the difference and it's not too important to us either. Like the girls mentioned above...decorating around the table is fine for me.

LOL its so funny bc besides me and well MPAS nobody really cares for the cake...Honestly before looking at flowers, reception halls or anything i was looking at cakes, its the first part of wedding planning i did
