Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
We are getting made custom made chocolate bars. (the wrappers will have the table # on it as well as our names and the back will have the wedding party names on it, etc.) It is not too expensive and it is different.

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
We are numbering them and adding a name of a place or thing that is important to us. We have gone away so much that each city we have been to, has places of signifcant importance to us. The last few tables will be the islands we will visit on our honeymoon in Hawaii.

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
We are doing states that we have visited since we're getting married on the 4th of July and want a patriotic theme. We'll scan pics of ourselves in those states and include state info...My FSIL did the years theme - One table for each year starting 1974 (the year both of them were born). She had pics of her and her husband from each year and it was really cute. Everyone LOVED the idea!

So far we are being really boring and just doing numbers but now maybe we should become creative!

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
Hi everyone-today was my first day @ work since October 11th!
Anyway, I got my frames at the very cheesy 'Dollar King'. After searching everywhere & finding nothing for less than $5 I started checking dollar stores. I got 3 styles in 2 colors that worked perfectly. Here's the best pic I can find.
BTW, my tables had names( European cities & sites) & numbers to avoid confusion. It worked out great & lots of people made it a point to visit other tables to see what place they got!

Stacey -I love your table numbers!! I may have to steal your idea
I wanted to do just fall colors, but my Mom didn't think enought people would understand that. I was thinking of doing numbers with a fall-color background, but now I really like the leaf idea!!!

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
I read somewhere a cute idea where the couple took fun pictures holding table numbers. I thought it was funny.

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
You guys all have great ideas!!!!! My cousin had places they had traveled as well as their home towns, the college they attended and at every table there was a picture from that time. I really like the seashell/lighthouse themes too! they're beautiful. I'm not at this point yet, but will definitely revisit this later on - being in October, I'm in love with the leaf idea! .

Some ideas I was thinking of/have seen:names of flowers
names of cities
the word 'love' in different languages
I love the idea of a picture of the bride and groom holding a number up!!

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
You guys are making me jealous - my DH requested we NOT name our tables because he was afraid certain non english speaking family members would be confused. But there are so many great options! Here is a photo of my boring numbers...
*They are a little hard to see in this photo but very easy to spot in person.

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
Someone told me they saw mini easels (but they don't remember where - any suggestions?) so we were thinking about using either paintings of weddings, or something else art related (maybe named after famous artists, or a flower still life) I just thought this was different - like the Lighthouses, or famous dances

Re: What are people doing for table numbers?
Rob-luvs-me: You can get cheap mini easels (dont remember how much but maybe $1 each) at Ikea. At least you could a few months ago.Michaels may have them too.

I was thinking of naming my tables after different types of roses. Ex: Bluebird, Vendela, etc... and have a pic of the rose.Welcome New Vendors
