What are some inexpensive things to do with your FH?

Since we are at the last few months and we are saving big time right now... what are some things we can do as a couple that do not entail spending a lot of money?? Any suggestions?

How about a museum??? Spending a night in watchinga movie and cooking dinner by candlelight??

Go to the zoo, public gardens
buy some massage oil and give each other massages.

Go for a bike ride/hike - hang out at the beach (when its not raining of course)

Go bowling.

go for a drive out east and do some wine tasting

You could go to any public park and find a nice secluded park. If the weather isn't so good then just put a blanket down in your living room and pretend you're outside!!

Well, I'm not sure if this is what you mean...but I will share some ideas. I'm a gushy romantic though, so be prepared...

Cheap date:
First prepare a candle lit dinner for the 2 of you w/ some soft music in the background. For desert prepare some chocolate covered strawberries (I did this myself and it was cheap) pack it up and have a picnic on the beach or anyplace w/ water (Pt Jeff, Northport, etc).

Every day things such as bowling isn't too much $$$ as long as you limit it to a few games. The beach isn't horrible...especially if you go to a town beach. Some of the local parks have concerts this time of year you can attend. LI is very expensive, so there unfortunately isn't much that won't cost something. Depends on your interests.

FH loves to bowl he is in a summer league.. I suck at bowling but I do like to do it for fun. Unfortunately, LI is very expensive..

We are going to go bowling after work. Thanks again

Enjoy! I stink at bowling too...but it's fun to try anyway right? FH gets to make a little fun of me. Anyway, enjoy your evening!

I am horrible at it.
But I love to go and make a fool of myself.
or you can go play pool - again I stink - but I try. =)

Bowling during the week $2 games (some places)

Window Shopping (yeah right...)

We always go down to either Stony Brook Village or Northport village. We walk around and get ice cream. It is so pretty in both places.

DH and I are always trying to think up fun things to do without spending too much money. Some of the things we've come up with are:
- Renting bikes at the beach
- Going somewhere nice to walk around (by the water or just a cute neighborhood or someplace with good window shopping) and getting a snack (sorbet or something) and walking around
- We like to make fun foods together, like homemade pizza or fruit salad or ice cream sundaes and enjoy the fruits of our labor while watching a movie (or Alias right now, since we're obssed).
-We also like to walk around our neighborhood and go to open houses on Sundays, even though it's a bit depressing, since we can't afford to buy a house.

How about the Free outdoor concerts. Sometimes they can be fun....we Pack some wine and cheese and crackers....and Relax!

a bottle of wine (or two) and making pizza together from scratch - even the dough! we did this for v-day... and had fun doing it.. made our own creations!

wineries!! Hubby & I go, and for about $100 we eat at Elbow Room & go wine tasting. If you didn't do dinner, it would cost you are $25.

Also, make a fancy dinner, buy wine and watch home videos of you two as kids. (this is one of our favorites)

where abouts do you live? I know Smith Point Park - beach has live music after 4 and parking is free after 5 and Monday and Thursday night are lobster night. Cedar beach also does something similar but parking is always free.
