Yup, Oheka Castle is up there, A site fee and then a pretty $$$ for each person.
As for the other halls, I think then it gets more expensive on Sat and what gets added. The rest all fall under the same prices.

I love sandcastle but it is defintly not nearly as expensive as those other places

DeSeversky was the most expensive place I considered. There are also a bunch of private clubs around, many on the north shore.

Of the wedding-oriented reception places, my guess would be Oheka, Carltun, Flowerfield.
Then, of course, you could get into the types of places you rent for a site fee and supply your own caterer (Nassau Art Museum, private mansions, etc.), but that's another story altogether.

The most expensive Catering Hall on Long Island is Oheka charging up to $500 a plate Plus Site Fee.
These are the Catering Halls that cost up to $250 a plate:
The Carltun Carlyle oin the Green The Crescent Beach Club
Here are second most expensive charging up to $200 a plate:
Floral Terrace Sail Harbor Sandcastle Villa Lombardis Watermill
Here are the third most expensive charging up to:
Harrison House $190 a plate (from mag.) Leonard's $170 a plate (from mag.) Areca $175 a plate (not on website from mag) Louis XVI $175 a plate The Hamlet Golf & Country Club $160 a plate (from mag.) Bourne Mansion $159 a plate
Here are the fourth most expensive charging up to $150 a plate:

The Village Club was really really pretty ( on a golf course too!!!)
however, there is no cocktail room (literally, there is no ROOM for cocktail hour, and the dance floor is beat up.
The food I haven't heard anything about. But the place is beautiful with that spanish deco tiles on the roof...
I would list it the following way:
Oheka > Crescent > Carltun > Carlyle > Vanderbilt
Remember!!! Saturday nights are expensive EVERYWHERE. You will do much better on a Sunday or a Sunday twilight is nice too.

Oheka has a $11,000 site fee for 2005 (saturday nights). The site fee is less for other nights. The per person is $165 - $500 ($165 for Mon - Thurs in the off season).
If you do not use a house vendor - that fee is $500.

Hey! I had my wedding in the hamptons, and it really wasn't that expensive at all ($115 per person including tax and service)
