our board is a little dead so I thought I'd check in with my fellow 2015 brides and see what everyone is working on, I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed.
I work alot so there is not alot of down time. I have an appointment with photo/video thurs (I should say 2nd appointment) hopefully then we can finalize our decision! then I have to get us over to the church! I've been putting this of the most!! we aren't very religious, we don't go to church, I'm so afraid of what they are going to say and if we will have any problems!
after that I think I'll let the holidays pass and I'll meet with the dj and limo company that come with my package. and somewhere in between I have to do my long list of diy stuff!

Glad to see our board is starting to get a little more active! Right now I'm working on finding a DJ (I'm open to suggestions if anyone has). We booked venue, church and photography/videography. We don't really have a theme but our colors will be dark purple and silver/gray. I'm super excited to start looking at dresses but I think that won't happen until after the new year. I might become obsessed with dress shopping so I'm trying to get other things done first.
We booked with absolute dj entertainment in sayville. They were very helpful and reasonable in price. Their prices are on their website.

I think my next project is going to be a photobooth.
I have already finished the hall is booked, band is done for the reception and the one for cocktail hr & dinner, florist, photographer, church booked and have a ball park guest list

We booked our venue right away back in August and were busy planning our engagement party/putting our feet up until this week so I’m excited to be back in the swing of things!
I met with a day of coordinator (Regina at Cloud Nove Events) on Monday. She was great and I highly recommended considering her. We just have figure out if having a DOC is practical and if it will fit into our budget.
Just yesterday we went to Silverfox to talk photography, photobooth and DJ. Everyone we met with there was great and we didn’t feel any pressure. We haven’t signed anything yet, but we are loving the idea of having the same company do three of the things that are most important to us. It seems like both the photographer and DJ would adapt to our style and vision. The cost of the DJ including lights kind of gave us a reality check, but I feel that it was still reasonable.
Now I am just contemplating it all! I am thinking about getting some quotes for flowers next.

My next task is booking a DJ...We got our hall and photographer. Once the 1 year mark hits, I will go full force haha I feel like I want to do everything now but I know I have a lot of time!

We are going for a nautical theme with navy blue as our main color. I want to have a pop of red in there too, but I don't want it to look patriotic!

I've only booked the venue haven't done anything since. I'm in my last year of grad school so I've been caught up with the craziness of school and not so much planning. I do know I want light purple not sure what other colors I want in the theme too but I've always loved light purple. I'm hoping to book a photographer and DJ within the next few months. I really want to start dress shopping too because pinterest is making me find sooooo many I like!
