As our 'NO' responses are coming in, so are the checks.
Do we send a thank-you now or wait until after the wedding so we can send our picture thank-you? What are you doing?

I would send them a simple TY now and then another 'real' one after the wedding. That way they know you appreciated the thought but they don't get 'gipped' out of a 'real' TY.
Wait a minute, no fair, we're not getting any checks with our Nos!!

We got only 2 checks Cindy, and about 30-40 no's, so don't feel bad. And they weren't exactly generous either (not that I'm being greedy). Anyway I was going to wait until after the wedding, but now reading this post, maybe I shouldn't.

We waited to deposit them with everything after the honeymoon. And we're sending our photo thank yous. Personally, I'd find a thank you before a wedding tacky. That's basically saying, although we're not married yet, we've already used your gift. JMO.

Send a thank you card right away and then when you get the formal thank yous, if you want to send them another with the picture, that would be nice.

That's what I was thinking... how can we not cash them for another 2 months! Ok maybe we'll send a thank you as they come and then a picture thank you after the wedding. Sound good?

send one now. we have received several gifts already and they all had a TY sent out within days. (since i can do them one at a time right now....after the wedding, it could take me a month!!)

we sent thank you's as the presents from the no's came in. we just used our personalized notecards.

I was waiting until after the wedding to send out the TY for the 'no' checks. After reading this post maybe I'll send out 'unofficial' TY w/o picture and send 'official' TY w/picture after wedding. Hmmmmm thanks for this post.

We got some checks very early on, so I sent a thank you but any that came with the response cards, we are waititng til we get the 'official' thank yous

We sent thank you cards right away. A few days after we mailed the thank you cards we deposited the checks.
ETA - I plan to resend thank you's to those same people so they will have the official Thank You and a photo.

Thats what I am going to do too, Jess. So far I recieved 16 'no's' and recieved 2 checks
