What are you doing about early wedding gifts?

As our 'NO' responses are coming in, so are the checks.

Do we send a thank-you now or wait until after the wedding so we can send our picture thank-you? What are you doing?

Maybe something like... 'We are so sorry you can't make it to our wedding, but we really appreciate your generous gift.' Something like that?

What did you girls write?

Send a thank you card right away and then when you get the formal thank yous, if you want to send them another with the picture, that would be nice.

This sounds like the best idea. If you wait people might start to wonder if you never got their check and worry.

I did not keep copies but it was something like:

sorry that you are unable to attend; thank you for the generous gift, your presence will be missed etc.....XOXO K&R
