We have a hotel block and so far invites haven't even gone out and 5 rooms have been booked. FH and I were planning to stay at the hotel also. We can use the bar area as late as we want and people can bring their own alcohol etc... since there will not be a bartender.
Just wondering if going back to the hotel with everyone is a good idea? Will we be exhaused and want 'alone' time?? What about the morning after???

i'm not planning on hanging with my guests after the wedding. our reception doesnt end till 1am and we have to leave for our honeymoon 11 hours later.

I was wondering the same thing. We are staying at the hotel also and our wedding ends at 5:00 if we should hang out in the lobby/bar area before having alone time.

Love your post. We feel the same. We have OOT guests that we haven't seen in many years, so we plan on hanging with them after the reception. Ours ends at 5:30pm, so we have the whole night. FH and I have been living together for 2yrs and been together a total of 5, so we are kinda already married.

OK awesome!! I wasn't sure if it would be too much to have everyone hanging at the hotel afterwards with us... Since we have free reign of the bar area, I figured why not!!

THIS!!! We leave for our honeymoon the Monday after the wedding and my entire immediate family are OOT, so I wanna spend time with them.

We had our hotel bar reserved for just our wedding guests till 4am - it was a great way to end the night. The next morning we had breakfast in bed as man and wife -- it was truly amazing!!!

Immediate friends and family and others who are staying at the hotel we blocked, will all get together after the wedding to hang out and continue the party in the bar at the hotel. Our wedding ends at 5pm so I def wanted to do this. It also gives a chance to spend more intimate time with close family after the wedding craziness!

We're going to head back to the hotel ALONE. It's our wedding night.
I had a friend who stayed with us after-partying in the hotel until 5am on his wedding night. It was great because it was the only time they got to really spend with friends, so it was a lot of fun, but not for me.
I'm also, sure we'll be totally exhausted so even the traditional wedding night activities might be a stretch

We were pretty wrecked after the reception. It ended at 1:30 AM. We went back to the hotel while everyone went out afterwards. But I was just glad to get out of my dress and relax in a quiet place. It's totally up to you though.

I wanna go out to a bar in my dress LOL We have a couple people staying in the hotel but I wanna go out - like to another place and party more.
I wanna wear my dress for as long as possible and celebrate as long as my legs will hold me. We have the rest of the holiday weekend to be alone and celebrate.

our reception ends at 1am, and the hotel bar can only stay open until 2 so we may have hang by the bar if we make it in time, but I don't plan on staying out too long since I will be exhausted! With 8 girls in the BP we have to start hair and makeup at like 8am!

FH and I are just going back to our hotel, it will be close to 1am by that time. We're having an extra hour at the reception so I don't feel the need for us to have an after party.

this! ahhhh FH and my dad want a comedian for the after party---- i think they are nuts and a private bar will do the trick.
the next morning we are doing a brunch at RH then lunch at FIL's house for OOT and close fam :)
