Hey Girls! just trying to get some ideas on favors...I am still not sure...
What are you giving out as favors on your wedding?

wine bottls from LEIB vineyards called Mission Merlot~ they are donating all the proceeds to 9/11 widows and since fh is FDNY its perfect because we still get the donation in and people get to take something home with them (and its WINE!)
and they are full suize bottles too so we are doing one per couple because they are $9.11 each
Wow that is friggin awesome, I hadn't heard of that. I really like that they play double duty... we're doing bottles of local wines in the OOT bags, hopefully it'll still be around in some form in a year and a half...
they have been making it since 2006 so I made sure that they would still have some for my 2011 wedding! its a great wine too! I bought two bottles just to take home and drink in the backyard

We added a carnival cart (popcorn, candy apples, pretzels and cotton candy). So we are getting bag with Thank you tags. Each person gets one and I won't feel like they got a favor that will collect dust or be thrown out.
Plus my mom gave us the $$ so that was one less thing to pay for.

FH has honey bees so we are giving our own honey in pretty jars. It's totally unique and very us.

Thanks! It's not too much trouble, he has to get in there and get the honey anyway. The only issue is that friends and family want some now and we can't give any away!

we are doing a donation to the girls that were killed in that car crash in july on the meadowbrook, we were very close friends with the family..

That is quite possibly the coolest idea I've ever heard of!
We did truffles from Afresh Approach--- not one left over by guests! Huge hit. They are the best to work with too!!!

We are doing a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The JDRF will design and sent us plate cards for our guests.
We had been thinking of adding a little treat, but we decided on a Sundae Bar instead :)

I'm doing a Prince/Michael Jackson CD, shot glass with cocktail mix and a donation to the cancer society. We met at bar during a Prince vs Michael Jackson meetup. I feel like our favors such be a a reflection of our story.

We made reusable grocery bags that I designed -- the fold down into a small square so they're really convenient to stick in your purse or have in the car. It's near and dear to my heart and I was very proud to give them out.

We gave chocolate favors from A Fresh Approach formerly known as Morgans Bay!!! Nicest couple to work with and the chocolates were so yummy!
