They are getting albums. We were planning on getting something, and then my mom found out and yelled at me and told me I was crazy to spend more money on gifts for them, so we didn't do it. We are paying for their albums though, so thats their gift.

Kathleen, we're giving them albums & videos, but were considering a weekend at our fave B&B but were disappointed to find out the innkeepers sold to other people, so now we're a little hesitant (we loved the innkeepers). That would have been about 600. each

Parent albums come with the package we get, so that's not any extra and both parents want to pay for their own upgrades, so we bought my parents an engraved frame from www.exclusivelyweddings.com that I pictured in my community album.

For his parents, we're prob. going to get them a gift certificate to their fav. restaurant.

Right now I am thinking of getting double frames and putting a pic of them on their wedding day and then (when we get ours) we will put ours next to it.

I would like to get my mom a golf weekend somewhere and his parents a weekend somewhere too.

Right now the frames are a definite!

We gave small gifts because we paid for the wedding ourselves. The moms and my dad got embroidered hankercheifs, maybe $20 each? Then we took IL's to dinner to say thank you for paying for the rehearsal dinner.

We got each set of parents albums from the photographer, and I got my parents a $125 gift certificate to a marina they are staying at the week after the wedding.....they are paying for most of the wedding so I wanted to get them something extra. I will probably get FH's parents a frame or something to open at the RD.

i know its super early but my parents and my ILs would KILL me if i spent a lot on them - we are paying for the wedding ourselves - so i will probably get our moms gift certificates to a spa for all the pre wedding pampering - and the dads bottle of liquor. . .nothing crazy

We gave them frames for the wedding picture we will give them along with the parent albums. I also got my parents those handkerchiefs to use on the wedding day with poems on them and we took my parents out to dinner since they paid for part of the wedding.

A grandchild. They'll just have to be patient and wait a year or two.

Parents will get their album, dvd, and a portrait, no other gifts, my mom would think i was nuts, and their 40th anniv is 5 mos later so i'll get them something really nice for that, his mom does nothing so she'll get nothing extra
