My mom is paying for the wedding and I want to give her something fabulous.
his parents are wonderful but aren't really contributing anything but i'm sure will give us a gift.
what should i give each?

i dont know if this is along the lines of what u were thinking - but i want to do something very personal this year for christmas since i have a very close relationship with my mom...so for christmas i'm thinking of getting a photo of me & my mom when i was little, and then one of me & my mom on my wedding day, and having them put into one oil painting. There's some websites that do it that are a little pricey but i hear they actually do it right at eckerds They actually put the photos onto canvas and it looks like it was handpainted

ps: my cousin just got married - she booked her mom an overnight stay at Gurney's Inn(out on eastern long island) for the two of them(her & her mom) and booked her a spa session in the morning

I got stuff for my parents off of xperience days It has a lot of cool options.
As an aside, I saw what you said about his parents giving you guys a gift. I was in the same boat and that's what I thought as well. I thought wrong so now I'm glad I didn't get them anything.

I LOVE THAT IDEA for the holiday after my wedding!!!!! Soooo adorable!

we're thinking of getting the 'rents digital picture frames. we think it's a great idea....
my parents are paying for a lot, and his mom is contributing nothing, so how do we handle that? do we get her a gift anyway?? i've been wondering about that.

What I gave my mom for her birthday one year was great. I spent the day with her at the Bliss Spa on Soho. Pampered her all day long and then had a fabulous meal at Balthazar. She was so happy to spend time with me!

We r going to send my parents on a trip somewhere. They really like Cape Cod so maybe there. Honestly, FH's mom isn't paying for anything so we r not giving her a gift. We're going to tell my parents about their gift in private.

Just an FYI for you I've used the website canvasondemand.com a couple of times in the past and there prices are really good!! I'm thinking about doing this for my mother also!!

If you want to spend the money maybe one of those Mini Cruises they are not too much for 2-3 days cruise. Maybe a weekend getaway somewhere they have never been.

My parents told me not to get them anything, but I can't do that. I'm going to make them a photo book from kodakgallery.com, full of new and old pictures of my family and FH. Bascially it's a scrap book, but put together a lot nicer, and with a lot less work :)

fh and i paying for the entire wedding so parents were like no gift for us. BUT i am getting them a digital picture frame and I am getting fh's sister (who raised him) the same thing so when we get our pics they can download them on the frame. I am not getting anyone parent albums since I know no one ever looks at them so figured this is better.

my parents are paying for my wedding, and are giving up their usual yearly vacations in order to have more money.. so myself and fh want to send them to the dominican as a thank-you and as part of their 25 year marriage anniversary gift. so thats what we're aiming for.
