Nope, just everyday dishes. Don't plan on entertaining heads of state any time soon But honestly, we don't formally entertain, it's always casual so we don't need china.

I am registering for it. I love when my mother takes out hers for the holidays, its so pretty and just looks beautiful. Just a personal preference.

I inherited my Grandma's...but honestly it will probably just sit and look pretty in a china cabinet once we get a house. I'll rarely use it.
I'm also afraid of registering for it...and getting only half of it...then I have to shell out for the rest of it on my own!!

FH and I are going to eventually purchase on our own. Right now, we need other stuff more.

We might register for fine china...i'm not sure yet. Although, we will probably never use it lol. My mom said she is probably giving me her good china or my grandmother's or something.

When i registered I didn't register for it. I think it is a waste of money. And if you don't get all of it would you really spend thousands of dollars to complete it?

we're not registering for it. i have no room for it and for the money its worth i dont think i would use it enough. plus like someone else said...if you dont get everything then you have to buy the rest.
i'd rather register for more of the stuff we need

Re: What are you ladies doing for fine china??
since we live together and already have two full sets of everyday dishes. we will probably register for 1 set of everyday stuff & a set of fancy stuff. FH loves to cook for thanksgiving & easter so we will use the stuff twice a year at least.

Re: What are you ladies doing for fine china??
I don't want to register for formal china. Casual china/ everyday dishes is nice enough for me. Plus, I'm in to collecting really eccentric bowls and dining sets from other places and stuff, so when I eventually get a china cabinet, I want to show that stuff off instead. Fine china is nice, don't get me wrong, but just not really what I want.

I dont think I am registering for it. I get bored of stuff so easily...I'd rather just get a nice set of everyday dishes...that I wont feel so bad throwing out when i am sick of them.

Re: What are you ladies doing for fine china??
I really want china but it's a luxury. I know I will use it, however FH and I will buy it ourselfs once we are settled into a house. In my family everybody has their birthday dinner on the fine china and everytime company comes over we use it. I would say it's usted about once a month at least.
Before I get my China I would like to have things I NEED (and we need EVERYTHING!) rather then luxuries.

Re: What are you ladies doing for fine china??
we registered for china before our e-party...we didn't choose the real expensive one that we loved (opal innocence)..but we did register for a beautiful mikasa 5 piece setting called venetian lace...the lady told us to register for 12, but we did 8...we actually got 1 for our eparty. and i'm sure we will get the rest for the bridal shower...although we only got 1 of the fine china, we did register for casual china, it's lenox butterfly meadow, and we got EVERYTHING down to the t for this china...i figured i'd use the butterfly meadow for spring/summer it's a beautiful set

I love the butterfly meadow. I wanted it for our bathroom ( they have a gorgeous bathroom set) but FH wasn't going for it!
