What are you walking down the aisle to??

I'm not sure if this was a topic discussed in the past, if it is sorry for the repeat, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about this.

FH and I went to see the church today. The secretary at the church asked us what I wanted to walk down the aisle to? I said the usual 'here comes the bride' tune. She said that most brides are using different songs and she wanted to make sure this is what I wanted.

What is your ceremony music???

Thats what happens to me with so many bands! Ive loved Modest Mouse and Interpol for the longest time and now they are all over the radio!

I will be walking down the aisle to the classical instrumental arrangement of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' as arranged by Joshua Bell. It is so beautiful.

It starts out very subdued in the beginning, so what I plan to do is, since I don't have any children in my family young enough to be a flower girl, I'm going to have one of the little girls from the liturgical dancers in my church do a 'petals' dance to the beginning of the music as she drops rose petals down the aisle. Then, when the music really begins to swell, the wedding coordinator will open the doors and I'll enter and walk down the aisle with my dad.

Dad's going to be emotional enough, and LOVES romantic classical music, but when I lean over and whisper right before we walk down the aisle that the title of the song means 'O my dear daddy' - he'll be crying the whole way down the aisle. LOL!

Dont make fun, but I am walking down to the first 60 seconds of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. I know it sounds crazy and no I'm not some goth chick, but I just thought it sounded really dramatic and I had my mind made up 3 years ago.
If anyone has access to it listen to the first minute and tell me what you think!!

I feel so boring. BP will walk down to Canon in D. I wii walk to the trditional here comes the bride. At least that is what I think now.

yay!! thanks hbradio! every time i tell someone what I'm walking down to I get the strangest reactions. They're like ummmmmm ooook.....{whispers} what a morbid girl.....

Even though it is metal when played in that context, musically (this is what I do) their songs have amazing arcs and drama, like a classical symphony. It is a great choice, and even if it were not, it is your day -- you should do what will make you happy -- good for you!

OK Girls my bridal party is walking down the aisle to BEYONCE 'Dangerlously In Love'I don't know if everyone is familar with Beyonce's Album but it is that really slow song and she is singing her heart out about how much she loves her man.

When I first heard that song it was before I met my FH and when I heard it I was driving inmy car and it actually brought tears to my eyes because at that moment I knew I wanted to find a love like that one day and I finally did.

Thanks, I think I'm leaning more towards the looping of the one song and buliding up the drama of me walking in...the only kink is, I am having a string quartet and the song is a major piano and string piece, and I want to see if the strings can still envoke the emotion without the piano....

I have absolutely no idea what to do-- I want to do something different.. and I just have no clue. I looked on a couple of sites- and I had this idea to use all songs with Green in title- since that is my color and my ceremony will (hopefully) look garden like...

I found a couple to use throughout the ceremony- particulalrly Greensleves- which was rumored to have been written by Anne Boleyn which is a slight obsesson of mine after reading a couple books on her.

This is one area of the wedding- well, one of, where I have had no preconceived notions and have no clue what to do.
