Because this is my second marriage - i feel weird walking down the aisle again with my dad so Rob and devised a plan where we will be waiting on the beach and there will be announcement inside for everone to come down to the beach.

So for a change... we get to watch everyone else 'walk down the aisle' so-to-speak.

I have NO IDEA what music we are going to play at the ceremony. The keyboardist from my band is playing for us, and so I can only use songs he knows (he might learn one for us if we really needed him to) - I can't think about this too much now, I need to do flowers, honeymoon, officiant first!!!!

my votes for alaska ;)

Haha thanks Tess - I am talking to travel tom about it this week actually! It takes a loooong time to get to Alaska and it's expensive, but so far, that's our vote too. It was that or Banff which is supposed to be GORGEOUS but there will not be enough snow on the ground for us to snowmobile there in Nov. Imagine that, a couple who wants to be COLD on their honeymoon

The bridal party is walking down to Canon and I am doing the Standard Here comes the bride. We are using an organist and i love how it sounds with that! so dramatic!

My BP walked down to 'Can't Help Falling In Love' and I walked down to 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'.

Our recessional was Barry White...'You're the First, the Last, My Everything'. It was fun!

I get all teary and envision my ceremony whenever I hear Canon in D, so I know I'm going to walk down the aisle to that. Even FH loves it too!

I'm still not sure what my BP will walk to, though. Maybe something classical to go with Canon in D, or maybe something less traditional?

Some modern possibilities I've been thinking of are:

'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
'The Moment' - Kenny G.
'You Are The One' - Warren Hill
'Now and Forever' - Richard Marx (either the CD one or I have a rare instrumental version)

BP is coming in to Canon. I'm coming into a fakout few seconds of 'Here Comes the Bride' and then it'll switch to either:

A) 'At Last' by Etta James
B) 'Love of A Lifetime' by Firehouse

Colleen! You've given me a great idea! I always wanted to hear 'At Last' at my reception, but we are having a male singer so this isn't really an option ... maybe I will have my keyboardist play it as I walk down the aisle!!!! I think it's recognizable even without lyrics.

THANKS!!!!!
