i wanted to walk down to john lennon's imagine, but FH doesn't think it's fitting, so now i'm entertaining the idea of stan getz the girl from ipanema.

anything different besides the wedding march?

Probably Canon in D I love that piece. We used to play it in high school ochestra and also as duets and trios... it's so simple yet so beautiful.

Wow so many people are non-traditional! I have to walk in to 'Here Comes the Bride' I get all teary when I hear it, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I have NO IDEA what music we are going to play at the ceremony. The keyboardist from my band is playing for us, and so I can only use songs he knows (he might learn one for us if we really needed him to) - I can't think about this too much now, I need to do flowers, honeymoon, officiant first!!!!

Haha thanks Tess - I am talking to travel tom about it this week actually! It takes a loooong time to get to Alaska and it's expensive, but so far, that's our vote too. It was that or Banff which is supposed to be GORGEOUS but there will not be enough snow on the ground for us to snowmobile there in Nov. Imagine that, a couple who wants to be COLD on their honeymoon

its so worth the flight girls!!

Because this is my second marriage - i feel weird walking down the aisle again with my dad so Rob and devised a plan where we will be waiting on the beach and there will be announcement inside for everone to come down to the beach.

So for a change... we get to watch everyone else 'walk down the aisle' so-to-speak.

That's a really brilliant idea. What will your guests be 'walking down the aisle' to?

This is a great thread and I love hearing everyone's ideas! I love 'Wonderful Tonight' and might steal that for my bp! I am walking down the aisle to 'Kissing You' by Des'ree from the Romeo & Juliet movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. I think it is the most beautiful song. I also have a cd in my car with wedding-related songs that I listen to and that one gets me all teary-eyed!

Ave Maria, played by my little sister. She plays the flute (she is amazingly good). She is only 14 but has won several scholarships due to her talent!

The bridal party is walking down to Canon and I am doing the Standard Here comes the bride. We are using an organist and i love how it sounds with that! so dramatic!
