I was absolutely in love with the heart shaped tossing rice when I saw it in a book. Last night I was at a craft store and I didn't really like it in person. Also the bubble bottles look so crappy. I think i might go with the rose petal cones.

We are doing an autumn themes wedding and I'm going a little overboard with leafy accessories....we may have our guests throw leaves at us.....Hey, they're free and they'll be an abundance of them!

They are not going to toss anything. My FH has it in his head that we are releasing monarch butterflies. He LOVES this idea!

I wanted to release butterflies too, but I don't think the date of my wedding will work...it would be too cold for them.

Doubtful that we'll be tossing anything since we're getting married at our hall, but if any of my guests tosses their cookies, I'll be tossing THEM out the door!

I wanted to do the butterfly things since im obsessed but.... they deliver them to u and u have to hatch them and I have visions of people throwing dead larvas at me at the church in FL that my nephew was christened at they did the butterfly thing or the baptism it was vey pretty but VeRY QUICK! meaning b quick to take pictures cause blink and ull miss it! We are doing Bubbles and Big HUGE party poppers for the guys who dont want to blow bubbles!

we're haiving them toss dried lavender at us. i love the way it smells and it looks so pretty all wrapped up isn't it funny that to celebrate we ask people to throw stuff at us?

my church won't allow rose petals, rice, or anything that 'requires clean up'
so we're trying to think of alternatives to bubbles....
I was thinking maybe wildflower seeds - to be carried by the wind and hopefully grow somewhere....

I want to do butterflies But i think we are going to have to save that expense
so opted for bubbles, just not the same

Funny or not so funny story about butterflies. At my cousin's wedding in Tampa a few years ago--they got married at these beautiful gardens, but it was about 95 degrees & the ceremony was only about 25 minutes but when it was time to let the butterflies go, most of them were either dazed or dead and 90% just fell to the floor. Looking back it was kind of funny, bride took it well---doesn't look so great in the video though.
