I was absolutely in love with the heart shaped tossing rice when I saw it in a book. Last night I was at a craft store and I didn't really like it in person. Also the bubble bottles look so crappy. I think i might go with the rose petal cones.

we are doing bubles and rose petals- my sister did this and the pics came out great, and there was nice video of people blowing bubles before the couple even came out!
I too had originally liked the butterfly idea......but thenthere have been some previous posts on the butterfly thing... they are shipped(i think from california) and basically come to your house Alive.. many of them die in the little boxes they come in, or die in shock when the person opens up the little tiny box.some people dont have much problems with it, others get many dead, and upset guests when they see a pretty butterfly not moving.

FH wants bubbles too. I've heard some people say that bubbles might stain your dress. Is this true???

at our hall they said anything goes (except rice)... unless if its indoors they prefer no bubbles.
we're doing the heart shaped 'safe' rice. Its cheap and FH doesn't like the bubbles anyway.

I have to check with my site and see if they will allow us to toss anything.
Rice is not so good. My FH's sister got accidentally pelted in the face with a handful of rice as she was leaving her reception. All you heard was her shouting 'Ow!' as she was running past.
If we're allowed to toss, I think either rose petals or bubbles. But not toss the bubble soap.

I really have my heart set on rose petals too but I don't think my church allows it. I like the streamers idea - very different. As of now I am doing the heart shaped rice and bubbles and my limo company does a balloon release for free. Since our wedding is on July 4th my FI wants to do those poppy things where all the confetti comes out - I know the church won't allow it but he still thinks we are going to do it.

We are tossing that heart shaped wedding rice. I hear bubbles stains, and saw the bubbles all blow back in the guest faces on a windy day, I have alse heard of butterflys dropping to the floor, so i think we are safe with the rice. For brides who cant toss anything they have those ribbons that stay attached to the holder for no cleanup! Or people can ring those little bells when you walk out!!

be careful of those poppers things..I thought it was a cute idea, but Fh thinks jokers of some old guest, who does not understand them would pull it near their ear, or face. so that was crossed off.
I like the streamers too, but the ones I saw were sooooo expensive.
In response about butterflies, it all depends on how you care for them. if it's hot, they really need to bbe watched so not to dye in the heat,,,,that is irrisponsible of someone to do to them.
