No, maybe not that expensive. The videographer we were scheduled with was only $1250 and that was for edited, but when it came to cutting down costs, it was either pay $1250 or have a relative do it for free.

When you get the videos are you able to make copies or do you have to go back to the vendor for them?

Re: what are your thought on a video?
they're a must in my opinion---
i watched my cousin's from the philippines and it was so great since i couldn't travel all the way there to make it. also, my dad's brother was on there and he passed away a few months after, so it was nice to see him enjoying the event in his last days...

Re: what are your thought on a video?
We used Duet and for 1300 we got 3 dvd's, Raw footage on VHS, photo montage and they broke the day into segments, photomontage, getting ready, Ceremony & reception. No cheesy graphics and subtle yet effective editing style..for example, they have a shot of my limo driving on the free way..that was such a nice touch. But my fav was after our 1st dance they have me dancing with hubby then if you blink I am dancing with my dad and Dh is dancing with my mom then if you blink again lol I am dancing with my FIL. I have never seen that done in any wedding video I have ever seen.

You probably would ahve to go back unless you get VHS and just make a copy or buy a DVD burner.

I was curious because I do have a dvd burner on my computer. I just didn't know if they had it where you could not make copies.

No I dont think its the same thing. This is different as its like making a copy of a movie and I beleive you would need an actual dvd burner specifically for burning copies of movies. Think having two VCRs to copy a movie.

Re: what are your thought on a video?
We are definately going with a video-one of our friends got married in July and when they saw the video they couldn't believe all the things they missed and it was nice to see the grooms face when the bride first starting walking down the aisle-that moment was priceless!

we were not going to get one and now I am second guessing myself. I just don't think we have it in the budget.

Re: what are your thought on a video?
i am so happy that i spent extra and got a really good video. everytime i watch it i pick up on something that i didnt see or forgot even happened. i think even if you get just the basic footage its a majorly important thing to have for any important occasionnot just weddings. i wish someone would have taped my shower
