Re: What are your wedding

I'm not married yet but... my cousin works for a music company (Hank Lane) and I never thought to really ask her about it (thought I was being a pain), but when I finally had seen 10 bands and was so confused, she was sooo willing to help, only problem was, I had waited to long and she only had one guy to offer me who would then grab some other guys and throw a band together (I guess tehy do this all the time) and although she raved about them and said I wouldnt have to worry, I wouldn't be able to see them in person ever, That freaked me out so I went with one of the other bands, which are great but I worry about it so much sometimes I wish I just took advantage of the contact. So take advantage of testimonies and contacts you have! Sometimes you can save some money and some worry! (maybe... lol)

Re: What are your wedding

I have a few minor ones...

I wish I had gone first with makeup, I went last. Bad idea. I was rushed taking pics. My mom also should have gone earlier. Have your MOH, your mom and you done early so you can start getting ready and having pics taken while the rest of the girls get ready.

Look up all the flowers on your flower contract. If I had done that it would have saved me a headache the morning of.

I had the most amazing photographer, but I trusted him 100% and gave him very little direction. As a result I didn't get some shots I really wanted. These were shots that I see all over his website and made the mistake to assume he would take.

Another thing with photos, if you want pics with a group or a specific friend, tell your friends to make sure they get the pics with you. You might have the best intentions and plans, but the day of is a whirlwind. Only people who came up to me got the pics we wanted. My neighborhood, we have a great photo because my one neighbor Laura made sure we took one. My closest group from college, no pics, because I forgot entirely and no one reminded me. Your photographer doesn't know who everyone is, so even if you give him or her a list, groups of people might get missed.

Tell your catering hall not to allow cleanup before the last half hour and to make sure the waitstaff does not take ANYTHING off the table but food and drinks. I can't tell you HOW MANY weddings I have been to where my favors were taken off the table while I was dancing. This happens at all catering halls, horrified to say, mine included. One of the only negative things that happened at Lands End, but it happens almost everywhere.

Overall my day was amazing and these are such minor regrets, but thought they could help.
