What color shirts?

My gown is ivory, more yellow than white. I don't want it to look dirty next to my FH and GM's crisp white shirts. Any other shirt color suggestions? Should I have them in dark tuxes and shirts with ivory bow ties and commerbunds? Help!

I don't know what to do about this either. I was thinking of having the guys wear platinum vests, but then I thought if they wore ivory shirts that wouldn't look very good. Now I don't know what color vest or shirts to go with. My BM dresses are periwinkle and I know the guys won't wear periwinkle!

my dress is Ivory and my GM will wear cream color shirts.. and most likely a wine color vest to match BM...the lady at the bridal shop suggests this- for the simple fact as you had said- you don't want to look as if your dress is dirty ..

I don't think white shirts is the way to go, but I'm not sure what else to do. Does anyone have any pictures?

They have ivory shirts as an option - not just white.

I personally dont like the ivory shirs... I liked the idea of the black suits and all platinum underneath. JMP

I have an ivory and champagne colored dress. The men are all going to wear ivory shirts and maybe champagne, or just black vests. I'm thinking maybe pink for the bm so I don't think the guys will want to match them

Platinum shirts? Do they even make such a thing? I thought it was your basic white, ivory or black shirts.

i am also trying to figure out what to do about this. i actually saw a picture in a magazine with white shirts and ivory vests. it looked much nicer than i thought it would. i'm going to leave that as an option for my guy, but i am not sure about the others at this point...i don't know if i like the ivory shirts.

I dont know I saw it recently it looked really hot the shirt tie and vest all in matching platinum.

I second monters suggestion, because when I was in David's Bridal last week trying on dresses, one of the saleswomen suggested that to a girl who was purchasing an ivory gown.

My gown is ivory and so are my BM's. So the GM will wear ivory shirts.

what color vests would you get with an ivory shirt? i think champagne would look nice, but my BMs are in periwinkle with silver shoes, so i don't think that will work. Black vests maybe? The ivory vests might be a nice idea.
What do you think of ivory vest for the groom and black vests for all of the guys?

Try the men's warehsoue website. They have a tux wizard you can play with. They have ivory shirts and a few different vest colors.
