What details are u including to make your wedding unique?

we're getting married in mexico...not many people have destination weddings so i think that'll make it really unique and special...we'll be doing a beach theme throughout though to give it an extra oomph

unique in terms of what our friends and families are used to:
--we're having a harpist for the ceremony and pre-ceremony music. She found a way to play the BP song on harp (India Aire's Ready for Love).
--I want mostly candles and flowers to decorate the church. (possibly these huge spiraling candelabras for the front of the church)
--If I can figure it out logistically, having a bell filled with rose petals for over our heads after we are pronounced husband and wife.

Our centerpieces will be unique ( well i go to the florist to pic up my pics I will post them) but we are having a figuines coming our of the center of the floral arrangement turning on a mirror platform.
I am not sure if I want them turning yet though.
Also our favors are pretty unique, expensive but worth it!!!

It basically screws up the signal so people cant make or receive calls during the ceremony/reception.
Am I crazy for even pondering this?

lol...well it is pretty unique i have to giveu that!..
Come to thing of it though it is a pretty good idea.

our centerpieces are originnal, they are cinderella's carriage and the florist will fill them with flowers

we will have goodie bags at the end as well w/ bagels and the newspaper
we are hacing chocolate class slippers made to put on everyones plate to be served with the cake.
personalized menus
slipper basket
tic tac boxes
fh is making a card box to look like cinderella's castle
we are having a 3 wic unity candle that will be lit by both sets of parents and then FH & I
my gandma will be making the flower girl dresses
my aunt wil be making the ring pillow and veil

thats all i could think of right now

I for one think that is a great idea...esp with my family who are always on the damn cell phone. My FH, however, would prob be a little upset since his phone is permanently attached to his ear!!!! We may have to say our vows via cell phone!

I thought long and hard about my something borrowed.. I wanted to borrow something from a couple that my FH and I admire and want to be like so our something borrowed is FH's grandparents wedding date. So to make it special we are doing that dance when all the couples come up and eventually the longest couple will be left dancing (on our date it will be 62yrs for them!) and once we get them alone on the dance floor we're going to play their wedding song for them to dance to. Then FH and I will join them dancing to their song. Also, we're big on martini's so we're featuring all kinds of special martinis and engraving martini glasses to be handed out during toasts instead of champagne. Those will serve as our favors as well.

That is seriously the cutest thing I have ever heard.

My best friend who is also a BM is an amzing singer, so I am going to have her sing while everyone is walking out from the ceremony.

Not very unique, but special..

My FH plays in a Pipe and Drum band. We are going to have the bag pipes and drums play at the reception and outside the ceramony.
We are both in the Fire Department and we are going to have firefighters stand outside the church with an arch of ceramonial axes.
My cake topper and garter will also be FD related.

I think this is the greatest idea ever! I hate when cell phones go off at 'inappropriate' times!
