What details are u including to make your wedding unique?

I get the vast majority of ideas from these boards but lets see...
We're having a champagne themed wedding so the colors will be champagne, ivory with hints of gold, green and yellow

the table names will be names of champagnes

For something old I am going to have a piece of FMIL's dress and my mom's dress sewed into my dress

My Dad is an incredible singer and will be singing 'You are so Beautiful' while I dance with FH

personalized menu's that match the invitations, place cards and table cards (white grapes with green vines)

Unity wine ceremony instead of unity candles

Have our parents weddings pics at our cake table along with 'WE DO TOO'

champagne fountain at CH

champagne signature drinks

violin and harpist with singer to perform the song 'The Wheat' from Gladiator-it's the theme song heard throughout the movie

hapist and strolling violin at CH

Lots and lots of candles!!!

I think that's it for now

To be honest the only thing I have so far is the taking of the wedding cake home (POlish tradition) I'm stumped for others...but have plenty of time to think....lol

I thought long and hard about my something borrowed.. I wanted to borrow something from a couple that my FH and I admire and want to be like so our something borrowed is FH's grandparents wedding date. So to make it special we are doing that dance when all the couples come up and eventually the longest couple will be left dancing (on our date it will be 62yrs for them!) and once we get them alone on the dance floor we're going to play their wedding song for them to dance to. Then FH and I will join them dancing to their song. Also, we're big on martini's so we're featuring all kinds of special martinis and engraving martini glasses to be handed out during toasts instead of champagne. Those will serve as our favors as well.

Since we are into wine tasting, we are going to have each table named after a type of wine with a description of each.

I am doign memory candles with pictures of our grandparents....we each only have one grandmother left.

Pick one (1) unique thing and incorporate it throughout the ceremony. If you pick too many things, they get lost.
I'm having a winter wedding and dogwood branches as centerpeices. Instead of a traditional table with placards, they're going to hang from a dogwood tree.
In lieu of favors, we're having a scroll that tells people that in lieu of favors this evening, a donation has been made, in their honor to a particular charity.
