I feel so far behind in the planning but I know I have all summer to check things of my list now that is school is out. So, what did you book after you figured out where you would have your wedding?
And for those you getting married late summer/early fall 2012, what checks have you completed?

Here is my plan..
I am booking the hall this week July - booking the church and completing precana September - dress shopping, bridesmaid shopping November - Flowers, DJ and Limo December - Resting January - Invitations, some DIY things like menu, memory candles, etc. February - DOJ, GIFTS for others, MISC stuff for my wedding
Then the summer of 2012, I am booking my honeymoon and finishing up all the rest of the wedding planning.

BTW - our photographer is our uncle, he does it professionally so I didn't include that but sometime during October I will go over things with him.

I started looking at a bit of everything. However, when I booked my DOCs, they said I should be concentrating on photo first. Their point was that a florist can do several weddings in one day but a photographer can only do one at a time. Makes sense to me.

We booked our Church first, then RH and then booked photographer, videographer and DJ in that order.

After we booked our RH, we went straight for our photographer. After reading reviews about people missing out on the one they really wanted, I knew we had to get one that. After photo, we did our DJ. We also reserved our date at my church (even though we're contemplating going a different route for our ceremony now)
I think we found an invitation person before we found our florist (i think that's all the big stuff correct?) and I don't plan on looking for a dress until the fall.
I definitely need to get myself a check list because I know there's so much more to do and I'm drawing a blank!

I booked DJ and photo after RH.
Next I really really really need an officiant so I need to work on that.
This summer I will get to my dress, BM's dresses and hopefully flowers.

we booked our photographer a month after we booked our RH and just booked our videographer 2 weeks ago. DJ is next on my list but i'm starting to talk to DOC and looking at dresses at the same time. think that the last things i'll book will be flowers. good luck with planning!

I booked photo right after I booked the hall becasue I knew who I wanted and I didnt want them to be booked.
Within 3 or 4 months of booking my hall I got flowers and DJ taken care of (although now I need a new DJ )
I just recently booked an officiant and hotel block and now I am looking in to limos and hair and all those things.
We're kind of behind...we booked the RH and that's it. But we have some photographers in mind that we'll likely use one of, as well as a videographer.

From April until now, here is what we have booked in order from start through now:
RH Rabbi Photo DJ Ceremony Musicians Flowers ordered STD's started working on Invites (custom)
Next up: Register at BBB and possible other stores (7/2!) Hotel Block contract (approx 7/15) add to/finish wedding website send out STD's BM gown shopping in July Epics scheduled for 8/6 Makeup trial scheduled for 8/6 Bridal gown shopping Aug or Sept (putting this off, eeeek!)
In the distance: Bridal accessories (shoes, DOJ) Tuxes (Jan or Feb) Book Honeymoon

We booked the RH exactly a month after we got engaged.
Then we did photography, then DJ, then officiant and hotel block.
I am going to start making florist appointments next week, which I am in no rush to do.
Don't worry, many of the girls on here (including me) have done a lot of stuff early.

Um, I feel really behind! We haven't even booked our RH yet, hoping to by mid July. We know where we want but want to do a tasting first. Only day that FH is free (he's been working 7 days a week to pay for all this :( ) is his birthday so that is when we are going.
We did however register at BBB, get our DIY invites and half our jars/containers for our Candy Buffet. Its a start I guess. Once we get the RH booked with hopefully the date we want I am sure we'll pick up speed a little, I hope!
