What did you wear in your engagement photos?

FH have them scheduled for next week and we are trying to decide what to wear.

we wore matching plum colored button downs (both from express) and black slacks and boots.

DH wore khakis (was supposed to be jeans) and I wore jeans....we both wore ribbed grey sweaters....mine was t-neck, his was a v-neck.

I would not suggest jeans because they are very trendy. I'd stick with more conservative and traditional clothes so the pictures will be more timeless

We decided on favorite casual clothes, and ended up with variants of brown, which worked out really well.

wear what makes you YOU! We didn't want to dress up cuz it's not our style...we are jeans and sneakers types of people and wanted to seem natural....good luck and you better POST THEM!!

Glad you posed that question, I spent my whole lunch hour in Old Navy today looking for matching or coordinating shirts. We're both wearing khaki bottoms, he's wearing pants and I'm wearing capris. I left with nothing, so I guess we'll go topless!

Our pics are 5/31 so we have time.

For some of them we dressed up. I wore a black lacy dress, he wore a suit. The casual ones, I wore a lavender sweater and jeans and he wore a blue cotton button down shirt and jeans.
for our fun ones, he wore his turnout gear (firefighter outfit) and I wore a baby doll FDNY shirt.

Shelley - I see you're using 12th Night. Do engagement photos come with your package? I've never heard of people getting them until this board, I'm not sure how this works...

it was funny, we weren't even thinking about what the other was wearing... i wore a pink top with black polka dots and brought another pink top just in case. he wore a striped button down shirt. Halfway there i look at him and say 'OMG we're gonna clash so bad!!!' It would have looked a little mismatched what we were wearing.
So i did a quick change in the car and put the pink top on.
we ended up picking a sepia tone pic, but it still may have looked a little crazy with my dots.

(we both wore good pants. but you couldn't even see our pants in the pics AND FH had to lie on the ground hehe)
