dads actually went yesterday.
They went with a classic 2 button tux with a black tie and black vest and white shirt inside.

Since our GM more black our Dad's wore black tux's with white shirts, silver vests and ties. (not bow ties)
ETA: Is your dad giving you away, if so and he has a colored vest and tie, it could clash with your bo'k and look very strange next to you in all white

Dad wore a tux that had the matching Tie/Vest combo to match my mom. It looked awesome!! (And I LOVED the color of my mom's dress... i guess this could be an issure if you don't like the color you rmom chooses.)
