Well, I have finally admitted to myself that I am not thrilled with my professional pictures. This was my one big fear, and it has come true. Although Duet captured every moment, there aren't ANY really amazing pictures. I am really sad about this, and I never thought this would happen using Duet. Is there anything I can do? Should I talk to them about it? Maybe there are pictures in the negatives that I would like more that they didn't include in our proofs??

I agree, your photos came out beautiful. It seems like you were interested in a different style of pictures then the ones that you got though. I'm sorry that you were disappointed and I would definitely mention it to Duet.
yes - i think i was looking for a more photojournalistic approach, but thanks for the compliment!

remember also that they can edit out and fix so many of the things you mentioned.....
I think the pics are GORGEOUS in your review....I really think that maybe you had a different style in mind .... maybe give it a week or two and revisit them with an open mind.

Now I'm not just saying this b/c I'm using Duet but I think your pictures came out BEAUTIFUL, I truely, honestly think that.
They are proofs...sp if something is bothering you in particular photos, they can def. re-touch them or remove things out of the background.

I just read your review and, looking at your pics, I can honestly say they are beautiful. I am not trying to make you feel better, I really think they're gorgeous. Now, I'm not the one that has to be happy with them. But I just wanted to give you a different perspective. And you looked AMAZING!

I am sorry about how you feel about your photos, but I have to say, I loved them! I am very picky as well, and I thought they look fantastic. I am not sure if you posted only the ones you liked the best. Of course you can't post them all. I understand how you feel though. You are your worst critic.

If I were you I would pic my favorites, the one's I want for the album and have Duet or another company photoshop them until they were perfect.

I looked through your review and I really like your pics... they are really nice. I am also using Jay from Duet.... I am definitley looking for a more artistc/photojournalistic approach as well.....I will make sure I make that clear to them!! but honestly... i thought all of them were really beautiful... I love the one with the saxophone!!! & you by the window is gorgeous... I think once they are all in your album you will think differently about them. Good luck with everything!

I'm sorry to hear about your dissapointment with your proofs. This is very upsetting as Duet bride, not something I want to hear a few weeks before my wedding.
Is there anything you reccommend us future brides do that have already booked with Duet?

I was nervous when I was reading this post since I am using DUET one week from today for my wedding...and using Jay as well.. I took a look at your proofs and I have to be honest and say that I am no longer nervous- I think they are beautiful... It is exactly what I am looking for- HOWEVER, obviously it is NOT what you are looking for- maybe contacting them, voice your concerns and have them print out all the negatives for you to see- But really, I think they are really beautiful!

I agree!!! Your pics are beautiful!! I would love to have time to take some NYC shots. But the most important thing is that your happy. You can definitely look over the negatives and everything or I saw one bride on here (May05Bride) that got redressed and redone up with her new husband and went down to the beach and took some pics. They came out amazing. And she said that she felt so much more relaxed. Good Luck!!!
