What do I need to know about
Florists? Do I tell them what I want to spend around for each centerpiece? Do they show me samples? What happens if I don't know how many tables yet? What else?

Haha don't worry! Give them an approximate guest count and they will give you an amount for centerpieces. Ask them how much each centerpiece will be and when time comes for you to do seating charts and the florist to order flowers, your florist will adjust the price based on how many centerpieces are needed. I didn't see any samples but I brought lots of pictures with me to show them. A good florist knows what types of flowers are in the photos. I told the florist I was on a budget and could only spend a certain amount. Just have fun - I went to 4 florists and definitely knew when I made the right choice. Good luck!

I did not give them a price even when they asked. I told them exactly what I wanted with photos and they gave me a price. Afterwards, I asked them what I could change to lower the price. I gave a ballpark idea of how many tables and they need a final count a few days before. Most will make a sample after you book with them a few weeks before the wedding :)

Re: What do I need to know about
Give them a rough estimate of how many guests/tables and they'll go from there. In my experience, having a budget really helps them know what to give you.

What do I need to know about
We didnt give a price at first but when we started showing her pictures, she asked because my pinterest pictures were of like $500 centerpieces lol. We gave her our budget and she actually came in under it. A lot depends on the look you want. We could have bigger centerpieces for what we're but I don't want greenery at all in them (I don't know why lol)

What do I need to know about
We told them what types of flowers and centerpieces we wanted as well as an estimate of how many centerpieces and gave our budget. The florist we ultimately chose found the best way to incorporate the flowers we chose within our budget. We went to 4 florists. Only 2 actually pulled out the flowers we were talking about so we could see what they would look like together. That was pretty important to me and the whole reason that I went to florists a year before my wedding, so they would have the flowers in season on hand to show me. The other 2 only showed pictures on a computer.Definitely at least have an idea of types of centerpieces and bouquets you want even if its just pinterest pictures and an idea of how many centerpieces you would need and what you want to spend.
Good luck!
