MY FIANCEE AND I HAVE LOOKED AT A TON OF PLACES, BUT WE ARE NOT SURE WHICH PLACE TO BOOK BECAUSE OF A NUMBER OF DIIFFERENT FACTORS WITH EACH PLACE. I WOULD LOVE ANY COMMENTS (GOOD OR BAD) ABOUT THE THREE PLACES LISTED ABOVE.ALSO SOME INSIGHT ON YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BALLROOMS/ PROPERTY OF EACH PROPERTY. IN ADVANCE....THANK YOU.

Our choice was between Chateau and Fox hollow and we decided with Chateau becasue one the smaller room was WAY bigger then Fox Hollow and we like the art deco feel and the CH room. Fox Hollow was beautiful but the rooms to us seem to small. HTH but all in all it is going to be up to you on what you feel comfortable with and can see your reception in.

But if it comes down to FH and CB they are both owned by the same people so either place is going to be outstanding.

Fox Hollow I'd have to say. it was my #2 choice after narrowing down all those halls I saw. And I saw A LOT of halls....

i didnt get to see fox hollow hill but my FH and I did check out chateau briand.. this was actually our second choice, when we first saw the place we loved it... the view we got as soon as you walk in was miami vibe club scene..i loved their reception room, the room was set up nicely and the bar was huge, the bridal party room was also big and beautiful inside..the only thing that i didn't like so much was the room we would have booked was the smaller room (minimum was 100 or 150 i think) was a lil tight for us, however they did say that they can open the space out more..and we met with Susan, who was a BM there and she was great and very helpful... we were gonna visit fox hollow but couldnt make the appt and i don't think they do round tables and that was something i wanted.. either way, which ever hall, great things were said on all of ur choices..good luck~!

Here are my opinions....please I hope no one takes offense.

I always wanted a RH that was private that had beautiful grounds. FH loves water, so we wanted that.
FH loved the fact that the Swan Club grounds are very well manicured and he loved that there is the view of Roslyn Harbor. When we had their food tasting, we were both sold. We are having a small wedding, so SC was giving us a low minimum. We also wanted to save money, and SC's price was really good. I definitely can't complain.

Although Chateau Briand is very beautiful, I personally don't like that it is like right next to DSW and all the mall traffic.

I heard great things about Fox Hollow and made an appt to go there, but I got stood up. I would have come back, but I decided to look around and there were just a few things that i wasn't too keen about that made me not choose them. You can FM me if you want.

Between Chat. Briand and Fox Hollow...I'd pick Fox Hollow.

Someone already mentioned that there is a DSW and also a limo vendor right next to the Chateau Briand. I can't get past that. That being said- both properties are owned by the Scotto Brothers and the food/service are first rate. Also, they have the Inn at Fox Hollow which is beautiful.

Swan Club- never been.

I’ve never seen the inside of Chateau Briand, but my bosses daughter just got married there and everyone loved it.

I loved the reception room at the Fox Hollow but felt like both the indoor and outdoor cocktail areas were a little small for the number of people we were having. The food choices were great though.

We ended up with the Swan Club – we felt like we got the most for our money and fell in love with the grounds and the whole feeling of the place. Plus all of the staff there were super super nice – the woman we met with at Fox Hollow not so much.

chateau briand made some changes and in the pics it looks nice - i dont like the idea that its so commercial..... the swan club is beautiful but far for us. I was there a while ago and the food was good & the price was good. Im not a fan of the fox hollow - i mean its nice - its just too popular for me. i was there for easter and the food was good service was good - hope that helps! :)

Re: What Do U Think About(Chateau Briand vs. Fox Hollow vs. Swan Club)???

we picked chateau briand because it had everything we needed.

we are having our ceremony and reception in the same location. so because of that we needed a place that was big enough for us to take pictures if the weather was bad.

honestly i could care less that it is on old country road next to a dsw. i actually like the fact that it is on a main road because we have family coming in from queens and the bronx who are not to familar with long island.

we felt for our taste it was more modern.
plus the menu is sick.

i thought the winter garden room in fox hollow was gorgeous!!! fh didnt care for the cocktail room though i did.
we went on friday to see the venue and thank god we did.
i had no idea the lobby was so small and there were so many people waiting to check there coats, trying to figure out where to go etc.
also for the price they quoted us they didnt offer us very much food compared to chateau which i thought was weird because it is a scotto brothers place.

we didnt go to the swan club only because my boss got married there years ago.
he had nothing but great things to say about the place!!!

I think you should narrow it down to what best suits your day of needs. Questions such as:

Are you having your ceremony on site?

Do you need grounds on site for pictures?
CB doesn't have outdoor grounds other than the updated outdoor section where we had our cocktail hour, but they do have two photo studio/rooms which will also be your bridal party suite.
Fox Hollow has a few different photo opportunities AND the option of an outdoor cocktail hour. I was recently a BM for a FH wedding.
I never personally visited The Swan Club so I can't share any experiences with you there.

What menu selections do you prefer? Who is offering a better price value for your menu selection?

Is Chateau Briand, Fox Hollow, or Swan Club a place where you can envision your wedding at?

KWIM?

Obviously, I am partial to CB because that is where we wedding had our reception. Trust me no one paid any attention to the fact that DSW was right next door and if they did they never mentioned it to me or DH. I will admit the it did bother me at first, but it's something that you quickly get over because your guests will not have that view while they celebrate your wedding with you. Heck! The fact that it is on a main road is a plus for me, every time I am on Old Country Rd. especially with DH we always smile and say something cute when we drive by CB, it now holds special memories for us.

Personally DH and I only looked at two RH venues, the other being Jericho Terrace, it would be kind of silly of me to be like, we didn't choose JT because there was a bus stop and a Friendly's across the street. Honestly, I preferred JT, DH loved CB, he won!

All three have completely different decor. I am partial to FH bc that's my RH. I would choose between CB and FH....I just feel like the Scotto Brothers have this stuff down. The food and service is outstanding. I love the new feel at CB but I love how FH feels 'homey'. My only con with CB is the location, I think its a little too busy for me - jmo.

Re: What Do U Think About(Chateau Briand vs. Fox Hollow vs. Swan Club)???

This is just my honest opinion so I hope no one gets offended:

CB- I am biased bc this was my rehearsal hall I wanted a place that was going to have the 'wow' effect when people walked in, but didn't want a RH that was super popular and my guests would have already been there. The amount of food that they give is ridiculous. Almost a year later my guests still rave about the food. I had about 250 guests so I needed a place that would accomodate everyone comfortably. Since my wedding was in the early Spring I also liked the photo studio that CB has indoors. Before I got engaged I always drove by there and thought to myself how I would love to get married in a place like that

FH- This was one of the first places that I looked at. I loved the grounds and the traditional look that it has. For the amount of people that I was having I didnt like the big room that they were offering us. The ceilings were low and I wanted a place that had high ceilings. I think the FH has a very classic look and if its that's the type of wedding that you dream of it will be perfect. The food is also delicious as they are owned by the same people.

Swan Club- The grounds are beautiful. If you are having a summer or spring wedding and want beautiful outdoor pictures I would go for Swan Club in a heart beat. I have been to two events there and I didnt really like the food. I also didn't like that the open bar was not top shelf. This may mean little to some but this was a must have on my list (without adding any additional costs).

All 3 are beautiful places, go in and see which one you get the 'feel' from.

GL!

im having my wedding at swan club... fox hollow prob would have been a consideration but FH's sister got married there... as for CB... i personsally dont like halls on a main, very busy road... swan club is sooo deep in roslyn, your guests will think where the hell you're taking em... lol regardless, it was gorgeous so we chose it! if you like SC, you make want to look into westbury manor also

im not going to go on and on about SC bc you can dig up 1000 old posts from me to get my opinion on it... if you have any specific questions, FM me and ill def be glad to answer

You know, I wasn't totally clear. While I love the Fox Hollow, the only room that had that- 'wow' impact on me is the one I am having my reception in- Winter Garden Pavilion. If I were having a larger wedding that did not fit in that room, I would have gone with another hall. Westbury Manor- one to keep in mind.

I loved the WGP, but it was too small for us.

Re: What Do U Think About(Chateau Briand vs. Fox Hollow vs. Swan Club)???

I never went to CB...I used to have my company holiday party there every year so I didn't want to get married there!!

I was between FH and SC. We ended up going with FH because the SC rooms were a bit too small for us (the large room was booked), and there were about 6 construction vehicles in plain view on the harbor. I didn't know what they were for, but I didn't want to take the chance they would be there for my wedding!!

Also, alot of SC's appeal is their beautiful grounds, and since I am a winter bride, it might be covered in snow.

yes, even the largest room at SC is still small... at their showcase, it was set up for 170 and it was cramped... how they figure 220-230 as a max makes me

I like Chateau Briand b.c if the art deco feel and I think the CH room is so cool and nice.

Fox Hollow I think the room is really nice but if I had a choice between the two I would choose CB.
I think it is more elegant while Fox Hollow is more cozy look. But in long run its whatever you think that matters

I personally dont like Swan Club.
