what do we think about this bridesmaid gift...

designer sunglasses? i was thinking either coach or michael kors?

FH thinks it may not work becaase of different face shapes. i like the idea because i really wanted to give the girls something thats kind of a luxury something they wouldnt normally splurge on for themselves.

what do you ladies think?

i kinda agree that all girls have different preferences when it comes to sun glasses. You can hit or miss and it would be a shame to spend all that money if they don't like them

I am doing this!!! We originally wanted Ray-Bans, but we are going with Armani.

FH was concerned for the same reason your FH is... but we went to Solstice and spoke with them about it and if you purchase through 1 of their stores they give you a warranty/proof of purchase that you can make copies of and give to the BP with the sunglasses, so this way if they really dont like them, they can always exchange them!

& if they like them, they have the warranty for a year of cleanings and maintenance!!

this is a good idea but I kinda have to agree with ur FH, how about a gift certificate from a sunglasses store so they can choose what looks good on them

I wanted to do the same thing...esp since we are having a summer wedding i thought we could have some cute pics with everyone in sunglasses...but FH was against it. he knows how picky i am with sunglasses and said its hard to figure out who will like what shape, frame etc
i hate it when he is right

I like it, but I'm super picky because of my round face and my sister has an oval face and we have to get very different styles

I think it is too hard

i hate admitting he's right too!! but he kinda is in this instance. i guess its back to the drawing board!! what can i get them thats different? my problem is its the same girls my sister just had as bridesmaids and she gave them coach wristlets so i cant do a bag its already been done.

the reason i thought of sunglasses is because i could buy them at the coach outlet (and save some money) but then if they return for a different pair their kinda limited to styles available at the outlet store right?

ugh why is this so hard!!

I think it's a very different and thoughtful gift however, I have a VERY hard time finding sunglasses that fit my face right so if someone else bought me a pair I doubt I would like them. How about getting them all designer wristlets, wallets or sandals?

ITA! I have a really hard time finding glasses for my face since I have no nose bridge and in general I think sunglasses are something people have to try on. I guess it's up to you but maybe check on a return policy?

eta: maybe something from tiffany's? probably find some cute rewearable jewelry in the same price range
